I've been playing heaps Brawl for obvious reasons, I also felt insane and played some Pikmin 2 as well for some reason.

At the moment, my attention is occupied with my DS. I just got Contra 4 and Children of Mana for around $25, and so far am really enjoying both. I also picked up the first FF Crystal Chronicles cheap, and have been playing that, on top of Dr. Mario Online Rx.

I've been getting back into playing Wii lately. I've spent all my money during the past 6 months on CD's. I really need to buy som new games. I've actually been playing through the Metroid Prime Trilogy again, that's pretty cool.

Hello everyone, I'm Sphinx and currently own a PS3. It's my birthday next month and I'm thinking of asking for a Wii, but my main reservation at the moment is what games are there beyond the obvious big names (Zelda/Mario etc.). I've never owned a Nintendo system before so am unfamiliar with other franchises and exclusives, and as a bit of a PS fanboy over the last few years, I haven't kept an eye on what's in development. Basically I'd like some advice about what games you think might be good for a 21 year old guy who wants something a bit different from the PS3.

My favourite genres are FPSs (but am bored with the constant slew of vaguely sci-fi post-apocalyptic stuff that is dominating much of the genre at the moment), Racing games (huge Gran Turismo fan), and Third Person Action/Adventure (i.e. Devil May Cry/God of War). Most multiplatform titles I will invariably buy for PS3, as I intend for that to remain my main system, but I'm still interested in the Wii because of the innovative control system. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

I am going to redirect you here, to avoid trying to clutter up a General Discussion. Zack & Wiki and Boom Blox are great games that use the Wii Remote well.

What's Boom Blox like? I've been considering considering it.

Well, it would be in line with what SE wants to do this gen. Instead of putting games on the VC, they rerelease them for full price with prettier graphics.
