I was trying to think of a good Megaman 9 reference, for the numbering scheme, but can't think of anything witty or original at the moment.

When No More Heroes launched in Europe, worldwide sales and Europe's shipments were at 400,000. It's pretty safe to assume that they had at least sold that initial shipment in the UK, seeing as Rising Star was very pleased with the sales, so it has sold at least 400K by now, going by what we know. That doesn't factor in sales since then, so total sales could be even higher.

Not incredible sales, of course, but those are good sales for such a niche game. Big step up from Killer7, which only sold about 5% or 10% of that (I don't remember the exact sales figures, but I believe it was either 20K or 40K).

400k WW's alot better than the regular Suda pace. Although, I kinda wish publicly-released Europe numbers actually exist.

I think I got a good idea for the next GD title and post. Unfortunately, I'll be on a train by the time this hits 25.

They did release the initial shipment number, which was 160,000. We don't know how many copies they shipped after that, though.

I would have loved to have that. Sure, I would have never used it, but I want it anyway.

And yeah, I think only one person showed up to buy the game, and he was in the media. They tried to make a big event of it, but it still bombed in Japan. It's surprising, since they actually advertised the game there, yet the sales there were awful compared to the other regions.
