I had just gotten a Wii. After playing for a while, I decided to go to the Wii Shop Channel. After it connects, it tells me that I need to update. I do that. I go to the update screen, and it says to not turn the power off and awit a moment. I've waited for five mintues, then it says that it can't update.

I am using a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, by the way.

So is this a problem? Am I able to still use the Wii Shop Channel without the update?

I don't know if you can or can't use the Shop channel without the update but I do recommend trying to update again just to be sure.

Did you actually connect to the internet with your addaptor yet?

Sometimes the Adapters don't work. That's why wireless internet is better. <_>:

I have connected to the internet. But it just takes me to the page saying I should get a system update, and has a Wii Menu button and nothing else. I've tried getting the update, but each time, it just freezes. No progress made at all. Just stays there.
