Haha, I couldn't think of a good title. I looked on the first page for a similar thread but couldn't find it, so sorry if there's a certain place where this should go.

My GameCube ((GC)) has been replaced by the WII. In the past, my GC has survived falling off of a two-foot shelf ((while it was on, and I was playing)), being on for 6 hours at a time without slowing or breaking, and being kicked and being smashed around, without even skipping or getting bumps. Obviously, the GC was a very sturdy and reliable.

I treat my WII like a baby; I always carry it with two hands and keep it low to the ground.

I suppose what I'm asking is does anyone know how sturdy this is? Obviously I don't plan to smash it around like I did the GC ((which wasn't on purpose, either)) but I want to know how far I can take it before something breaks, so maybe I can loosen up and not treat it like an infant. I know the Xbox360 ((which has apparently been fixed, now?)) got overheated a lot and broke ((from the example of my friend, who replaced it 3 times in 2 months for overheating)), and I've been known for playing at least 6 hours at a time.

I wouldn't say it's as sturdy as, say, a certain $600 paperweight made by Sony, but it is pretty sturdy. I wouldn't kick it around, though. Feel free to throw your controller at your screen though (:

Just from looking at it, I don't think that it's as sturdy as Gamecube. I would put it in a place that is really safe. The remotes are pretty sturdy though.

Why in god's name are you raping your GameCube like that?

I will have to try that on my Wii to see if its sturdy or not, but by looking, it doesn't look very sturdy and coul easily break.

My wii fell hardcore on the ground from a 4 or 5 foot shelf around there anyways see what happened was i was playing a gamecube game with my friend and we had the gamecube controllers hooked up and we went as far away from the tv as possible so the wires from the controllers were kinda stretched out and my friends sister walks in passes by steps on and trips over the wires they get tangled on her foot and she kinda rolls away taking my wii with it and it falls hard on the ground we hooked everything back up again and it still worked nothing was wrong with nothing got scrathed the game was ok it was like if nothing happened it was very strange so yeah im pretty sure the wii is sturdy:)

Why do you want your GC back when your Wii can play GC games as well?BTW I smashed my GC cause it didn't work anymore.My GC was pretty sturdy.I know some of you won't beleive me,but I punched my Wii once.Why?Because the stupid SD card was stuck.BUT it still works so I say it's sturdy as a gamecube.
