when i didn't had a wii, i was using those websites and calling stores.

i got my wii, when i was bored and my dad was about to go to walmart, so i went with him.
so i checked the electronics area, and THEY HAD A WII!
i was so happy and it was the last one they had too!
the guy in the cash register said they had about 20 in stock that morning. i was at the store like at 6pm.

also at the brawl release, i preordered my brawl game at bestbuy and when i was going to pick up my game, bestbuy had like a bunch of wiis in stock! there was a long line too.

well i hope you get a wii soon!

If you absolutely want to avoid purchasing one through eBay then you've really only got two options;

1. Sunday ads. These are great, as long as you're willing to be out the door by 8 am. A lot of retail stores put their larger / more sought after shipments out on Sunday [along with their ad to attract customers]. I know Target, Best Buy, K Mart, Wal Mart and stores of that variety all do this. If you're willing to get up early and try to pick one up when the store opens then that's your best bet. Check their ads on Sunday morning and see if they've got them listed. If they do, [they normally get a week's worth of shipment in], then try to head over and pick one up.

2. Hope you get lucky while you're at a store and they have at least one left in stock.

Small franchise / local gaming stores usually don't get in large quantities, and deal with pre ordered shipments as priority.

where in canada are you talking? im in calgary and the only place that has been getting them when i look is video game trader, and they will only sell in a package deal

My friend found his at a grocery store. So, I highly doubt it, but if you have 'Real Canadian Superstore' in the US, go there and you will probably get one.

I seriously doubt there being a "Read Canadian Superstore" in the US.

My dad was at a local Target, and he was browsing around, and he happened to come across a Wii! The very last one in stock. He heard my brother talking about how he wanted one, so he said, "What the hell," and bought it. I am extremely surprised, because he is the cheapest person I ever met.

I would suggest calling up these places first, instead of visiting them. That way you can save yourself a lot of time, effort and petrol.

I got my wii at costco, last in stock, i saw it but didn,t know it was the costco bundle and asked a guy who works there if they had one. he said there was one left by the fence according to the computer, i ran as fast as i could to the fence running in front of people and not caring saying damnet to myself. So i see it in this guy's cart and snatch it out of the cart and i say thankyou and run. Ok fine that was a lie. so i'm running over there and grab it then show my dad and we buy it. in the time it took us to get in the check out line and me to ask customer service I thought somebody would have grabbed it and took it. It takes time to get one, i bought twilight princess thinking i'd be getting a wii on day, turns out i wouldn't be getting it 3 or 4 months later. It sucked ass i couldn't get it that one day in like May or June. Good luck finding one, Jesh.

Lol, but seriously, if you are looking for a Wii it shouldn't be too hard now that the holiday rush is over. Most major retailers should have a few still in-stock, and if not, just ask when they are getting their next shipment.

The Wii sucks. Only game worth playing is Brawl tbh. The cheap piece of crap doesn't even support HD either. Get a PS3 instead. Just my opinion though.

So this isn't a completely trolling post, ask the stores you've been to when their next shipment of Wiis comes in and see if they have some sort of a reserving system for it.

Anyways, my bro just bought a brand new Wii yesterday at GAMESTOP. The guy said their getting them.....but they sell like hot paddies.....or is it cakes? lUl Anyhoo, ya they had two there. My brother J-bo bought the Wii and Wiiplay (with wiimote) and an extra nun chuck along with Mario Party. Seek GAMESTOP, non STOP. Man we got wiled on Wiiplay and Wiisports.
