Nintendo LAN Adapter for Nintendo Wii |
quote Product: http://reviews.bestbuy.com/3545/8193466/reviews.htm It says it comes with a 6' patch cable.. that is the cable that runs from the port on the LAN adaptor to the wireless router.. correct? Is it possible to get a wireless patch cable? My wii is downstairs.. and my comp. is up, neither can really move and it still be fair to everyone (upstairs it'd have to be in a personall room.. and me and my bro split the wii 50/50.) Also, will this work THROUGH firewalls? There are many firewalls and blockers on our comp.. will this go through them? ------------------- quote me\m/ >.< \m/ <-- Rock On. ![]()

quote glorioustearz There is no such thing as a wireless patch cable.. The wii has built in wifi, and if you have a wireless router then thats all you need. The Lan adapter is to connect the wii to the internet using an ethernet cable if you dont have built in wireless. Also, the wii dosnt get its internet through a PC if you go through a router, so you dont need to worry about the firewall. ------------------- That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

The LAN Adapter is meant for those without wireless capabilities to still connect their Wii to the internet. The adapter connects to the Wii via USB, and the other part connects to a wall jack or a router to receive the internet connection. The cable included is just an ethernet cable to use to connect the LAN Adapter to a router or the jack. ------------------- [Announcements: Arc Rise Fantasia | Mega Man 9 | Fragile | Captain Rainbow | Oneechanbara]

quotejust stop for a second and read that - how can you get a wireless CABLE. (or a wireless wire the only 2 options you have is the slow WiFi - or buy a WIRED usb adapter plus the person above that said about th router having onboard firewalls had a good idea to TRY and help you with your slow WIRELESS connection. -------------------
