I thought I heard something about this with the photo channel or something like that, but I was wondering if this is true, and if so how does one do this.

That didn't help much. It seems like you can't put your music on their, and you can only listen to the music that they have. Thanks thought, I guess I'm asking if you can put music on an SD card and play it off of that, but if their are other ways, like Andrew5's link up there, please share them.

Yes, the wii can you can put music into a slideshow in the photo channel.

You can only play music in certain conditions, so no. I wish they would expand upon it more (perhaps via firmware updates?), but the music-playing is fairly limited at the moment. Only the Photo Channel and a handful of games support it.

There are a few websites that allow you to access digital content from your PC (including music). I only know of Orb, but it works well enough.
