Resident evil outbreak on the wii? |
|
Wouldn't that be dandy if they did that? Hell, even if it isn't resident evil, just a survival horror game that is multiplayer would be *bleep*ing nice.. -------------------

They're is already a horror based game coming out for the Wii. even though it's horror based i doubt it's anywhere near as gruesome as resident evil. that said i doubt they're will ever be a game like resident evil come out for the wii. -------------------

Nurio, I'm pretty sure Fatal Frame isn't the first M-rated Wii game. There are around twenty or so that I know of. -------------------

I for one LOVED RE Outbreak, me and some buddies would always play that online for god knows how long heh, #1 and #2, it's a damn shame the servers aren't up for them anymore. It also sucks that the game didn't sell too well, so the motivation to make anymore isn't so high :/. A Wii Version though, if it ever did happen, BETTER have online, that was the main selling point for the game in the first place. If it happens and the online is done correctly, it's a guaranteed buy for me. -------------------

Tbh, I'd rather have a brand new Resident Evil game come out on Wii, rather than another unoriginal and unchanged port. quote cheatin_manYou're missing out on a good series then. -------------------

What makes fatal frame, fatal frame. I know there is no guns, but cameras. What makes it different from pokemon snap?

quote zebra cakesBecause there's no Pokemon, silly. Nah j/k. XD It's hard to explain what makes Fatal Frame, Fatal Frame. The gameplay is the main aspect of what makes it different to other survival-horrors. As mentioned, the characters only have a camera to defend themselves with (the series revolves around the Asian superstition that a ghost's soul can be captured on film). You don't have a huge inventory full of weapons, ammo, etc, and your main characters are just average everyday people with no special training or special abilities. And that sense of helplessness and survival is definitely played on - The characters are clearly weaker than the spirits and ghosts that they are up against, and having a single camera definitely adds to the suspense and feeling of dread whenever a ghost pops up. Forcing the player into a first-person view of some pretty freaky (and sometimes gory) ghosts can be damn scary at times. (I really have no idea why people get put off the games by the camera. Heck, just imagine it's a friggin' gun or something. You're still "shooting" at things.) The setting and creepy atmosphere is also what makes the games stand out. The locations and stories are based off old tales of haunted Japanese mansions and villages. One of the game's bonuses: Every enemy has a backstory (and there are over a hundred enemies in each game, iirc). Some can be discovered through the main storyline, some through side-quests, and some through old notes and diaries. But every enemy will have a story behind them and their (usually gruesome) deaths. There'll be ghosts you feel bad for destroying, and ghosts you will absolutely loathe with a passion. But enough of my ramblings. XD If you want more info on the Fatal Frame series, read this thread: 'If you are not familiar with the Fatal Frame series'. There's more info in the Fatal Frame IV forum about the actual Wii game, though you'll have to wade through the various "omg! it should b on ps3. wii sucks" posts >_> This message was edited by Gothic Girl on Apr 07 2008. -------------------
