no downloading games for free.
Ocarina is not a game.
i have seen people using home brew to download games for free, i know what ocarina is, ive seen people use the HOMEBREW to download games.
You don't know what you are talking about. Basically, "homebrew" is a term used to describe user made software ran on consoles. Homebrew it itself is not illegal (unless maybe it does violate Nintendo's EULA), but it can be used for illegal things (like downloading VC games or ROMs for free). A lot of the applications though are user-made and free to the public. Ocarina is a cheat code program that works like an action replay I believe (never had an AR).

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

Ok, I have my Wii updated to the most recent, but I have been thinking about Homebrew. Is it still possible for me to get Homebrew, or am I now screwed?

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

You are pretty much screwed. You are going to have to do some deep searching to see if someone found a way to get around it for those who don't have homebrew yet and are on the latest update.

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

I just wanted to reply to some chatter on the previous page. I don't know what you guys are talking about, saying that you have more chance of getting bricked with a modchip? If anything, it's the opposite. Many chips have an update blocker built in.

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

I have one final question. If I move my file of Twilight Princess to another SD card, use the Twilight Hack for homebrew, would I be able to move my game of Twilight Princess back to the Wii so I don't lose what I have?

Well sorry. I haven't done homebrew in quite some time and last time I actually got into homebrew, it was when the 3.4 update came out, so all of my knowledge of homebrew is when the 3.4 update came out.

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

Here's the theme I've got on my Wii. Just came out about 10 minutes ago.

Big Pic

Big Pic 2

My camera didn't preserve all the colors as vibrantly as they are, here's a picture of it on someone else's TV (16:9):

Big Pic 3 (not mine)

I saw a vid with something like that on it

Mind linking us to a guide that helps you edit the wii menu?

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

You don't need to edit it, the theme is distributed as a package. (editing it yourself if complicated anyways) A few minutes of Googling can find you the website. Unfortunately I can't link you to it though because it contains illegal things.

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

I get to the part where I talk to the guy with link but... It always screws up...

I keep trying and trying, but when I run through the numbers I get 'Exception 0300' and it freezes up >_>

Any help? Ovan/GirugaMarc is trying to help me... But not making much progress...

re: Homebrew Guide and Discussion

Did you remember to change the name of the folder the Twilight Hack program is in based on what version of the game you have? You can refer back to the guide in the first post for that.
