I'm debating on getting the codes from my games my brother is borrowing to try to go from Gold to Platinum, but I have a feeling that it won't be worth it so I'm debating on just waiting.

Yeah I never bothered to get to Platinum. I have Gold which is good enough for me right now. Once we find out the prizes I'll see if it's worth it to go Platinum next year.

Prizes will be announced by the end of the month, should get an email about them to the address registered with Nintendo.

I'm sad that the redeemable prizes didn't change.

Doing all of these surveys I have saved up is tedious.

I think I have about 40 coins worth of stuff to add. I'll probably wait a while though, just to see if I need those points for this Nintendo year or not.

Oh, but some of these post-play surveys are for stuff like the Strong Bad games and New Super Mario Bros.

I have a bunch of stuff saved up since I never used it this year for platinum, only gold.

I'm pretty bummed they didn't announce the prizes today. I've been counting down the days for Pete's sake! Oh well, guess I'll have to wait another 30 days...

On the bright side, I also think I have enough old stuff to register today to get platinum for next year. I haven't even linked my Wii to my Club Nintendo account yet for VC and WiiWare.

I haven't decided yet. While I normally would jump at anything video game related, only one fight seems like a pretty lame prize. The hat is also really awesome, and may at some point be a collector's item, but inherently useless.

If you want my honest opinion, I think they both suck. For being a Platinum member, I can get one fight, or a hat I'll never use. The Punch Out seems more entertaining, albeit too short lived, and the hat is cool to look at, and may be able to be sold on eBay for a decent price, but what are the chances of keeping it mint for 10 years then remembering you even had it to sell it?
