Little King's Story!

It's coming out later this month and it looks really promising, plus NA gets a new difficulty level. It got really great reviews so I can't wait for it.

They're selling Little King's Story for 40 bucks over here. I'm going to buy a new game next week friday, was gonna get the Conduit but it's been getting shit reviews, a lot of glitches already discovered.

Might look into LKS.

Hmm, I wouldn't be too disappointed over missing Fatal Frame IV, the controls were supposed to be pretty bad. Logically, you would think the would be awesome on the Wii, just point where you want to aim your camera with the IR, right? Well, the dev team thought that was a stupid idea and made so you had to do weird things like twist the Remote to turn and stuff, making the main character controlled like a tank.

However, I would be very happy if they localized it and fixed the controls, but if they didn't, I would say don't even waste your time. And I'm really not so sure that Nintendo would take the time to fix a broken game that would be destined to fail at retail anyways.

I've got Fatal Frame IV and the controls are fine. It's 100x better than Resident Evil anyway...

You control your character with the analogue stick, Z to run, and you tilt the wiimote up to look up, and down to look down. You shake the nunchuck to do a quick 180 turn, it all works VERY well for a horror game. You don't move like a tank (like RE4 and 5 T.T) you walk and run slowly for sure, but that's the point, you're some useless girl with a flashlight and camera. I'll admit the camera controls are a bit *bleep*ed, they should have made it that when you went into camera mode with B, that you'd immediately have FPS controls, but you still have the whole "analogue stick, Z to run, and you tilt the wiimote up to look up, and down to look down," which is a bit silly. Not a major gripe though, because the controls aren't really worth bitching about IMO. Anyway, worth the import once the english patch is done.

I just looked up Fatal Frame Wii on IGN and that game looks pretty sweet. I'm not into horror or zombie movies and games but this actually looks cool. Obviously Nintendo couldn't release it here, it's too good.
Elaborate on what's so good about the game. Also, is it hard to run on an NTSC Wii? I have homebrew already and I think I might have Region Free as well but I'm not positive.

If you don't have online I would just rent it because the single player is nothing special IMO. The story is nothing stellar. Your typical conspiracy with aliens trying control the world. And it's pretty straight forward, run and gun type of gameplay. A bunch of people in the game's forum kept saying how hard it was and how they played it through on the easiest difficulty, but I'm playing it on the standard/normal difficulty and it's no tougher than any other FPS I've played. The online is what makes the game good IMO but even that has some issues. Rent it to try it out, if you like it a lot then buy it I guess. Maybe buy it anyway to try to support "hardcore" and third party games for the Wii to keep them coming.
