Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

Well, since release of the Wii, i've seen good reviews, bad reviews, mixed reviews all sorts of bloody reviews. Frankly, i couldn't care less of reviews, to me the Wii is great.

I've had lots of fun so far, and it's only been with two games (Wii play & Wii sports) and i'm even more excited for the upcoming games i'm getting this christmas.

But, the whole.. sceptical of what it really was going to be like was totally different to what i thought, i thought it was just going to be a failure.. well not a failure.. just a slow start.. like the Gamecube had.

But now, when i look at it, it's got 1.3 Million sales world-wide, compared to the PS3, that's been released before the Wii, in america sales are still small.

The Wii has a great future, which i'm pleased with, and i'm sure it will be a great hit in households alike.

Now to the question.. what DO YOU thing of the outcome?

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

Where I live, the first impressions of the Wii have been very good. When my other friends found out that I was skipping school to get a Wii on launch, they were really confused and like "d0esnt da Wii have worse grafix dan a gamecoobe?!!/". But when I got it and they played it, they all realized that they want one. Everyone who happens to pass through my house and sees me playing Wii Sports or Zelda is literally amazed. I know at least 10 people who want one for Christmas.

Thing is, im angry at Nintendo for other people in the UK. I think that they underestimated the hype in the UK, thus not giving them enough launch systems. Sure, its good to have more demand that supply sometimes, but not before Christmas its not. If the UK got more consoles, then they would still of sold out, and maybe there would of been still more people who wanted one but didn't get one.

My impressions are very good. Wii Sports and Wii Play are great fun for multiplayer, and im having a good time on Zelda and Red Steel.

Overall, my experiences have been fantastic, and im looking forward to next year to see what new games I can get for it.

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

Well I have only been able to play Wii Sports but may be renting TP this weekend. But I am very happy with the outcome of the system. At first I thought it would be hard to master the controls of the game but then when I played it for myself I found it be easy to learn. Many games got very good reviews. I know Happy Feet and Rampage failed but that was obvious. But yes I love the outcome of the system so far.

I am way more than happy with the outcome of the system. I had 5 titles at launch to play, and I enjoy playing every single one of them.

Man this system rocks!

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

Absolutely amazed by it, even better than I thought, and I had high expectations in the first place.

Wii Sports and Play are great fun, and me and my friend have had a good laugh playing each other on them.

Red Steel is a cool game. The low reviewers can go *bleep* themselves because this game in my eyes works fairly well. Even though I have only played through a few levels so far, I am already impressed with how it plays.

Zelda: Twilight Princess. Quite simply the game of 2006, and potentially the greatest game of all time in my eyes. You heard right, it may even rise above the legendary Ocarina of Time. Epic storyline, beautiful graphics, superb control scheme and absolutely huge. Love it to pieces.

Happy with the outcome you say? Very much so.

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

About 4 months ago, I thought the Wii looked awesome. Now that I've experienced it.. it's damn stupid. Quite frankly.. when I play games I want to sit in one spot, hardly move an inch, and yell through a headset at my teammates "THROW THE *bleep*ING GRENADE!!". I'm not the one to be flailing my arms around to play a video game. I'll buy one when it has a price drop, and Smash Bros. Brawl (Granted it plays like a normal videogame, and not an interactive science project) is released.

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

LOL, chill man - i myself enjoy sitting down and relaxing while gaming as i'm sure everbody does, but am welcoming the new system in every way. at least now with the 360 and Wii in my room i have the chance to involve a lot of my non-gamer friends as well, including my friend who loves the Wii now and is even starting to play some of my 360 games. hell, she's even got her own profile and beat story mode with all characters on DOA4 - quite an achievment for her. all pretty much thanks to the Wii IMO.

Also i am finding Twilight Princess to be quite relaxing as well and not strenuous at all. the flexibility of the control system is cool as you are able to be quite animated or just kick back and play 'normally'. i almost find it more relaxing than pads to be honest as you are able to play one handed, cross handed, etc. and COME ON; you dont have to actually stand up and serve the freaking ball in tennis. the movements can be quite small, but if u want to get into it then you can.

i am looking forward to the future with Wii - i think its an amazing system and a fresh breath compared to the generic 'sit down', 'pick -up pad', 'play' - WHICH I LOVE AS WELL. its nice to have a choice for my changing moods - lol.

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

Quite simply, I am astonished by the wii!!
Never in a million years could I have hoped for a better system: and heres why:

1. Twilight Princess: The game of the decade! Period!

2. The looks! It's so beatuiful. At first I was dissapointed that the light only came on with mail, but that is gone now! When I get mail now, it's like an event!

3. The controller: Holding it in my hand felt so natural, and not wierd at all. All of the buttons fall into place naturally, and if you said to me "Press C" i would have been able to find it naturally after about 10 mins of play! Amazing (if a little smaller than expected)!

4. The excitement! I pre-orderedmine 3 months before release, and the wait was hell! I thought i might be putting my expectations too high for the system, but No-Way! This is better than I ever expected!

5. The future! Holding the controller makes tou realise how many great, original games can come out for it! It could be a knife, bat, plane, dart, sword, teapot handle, broomstick, mop, anything!! The opera browser looks truly awesome and the DS compatibility is going to absolutely rock!!! "PROPER" games like virtua tennis, fight night and tiger woods will refine the controller further than that seen in wii sports to create a more realistic experienece for all!!

Overall: 1000/10 for the system!!

Although, those graphics do bug me a bit, but I'm sure the surface has only just been scratched in this respect!

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

i totally agree with the above post, i wanted it from when it was 1st anounced, and especially after E3 2005, then come E3 2006, i still wanted it but was getting tired of waiting and wondered if it would be as good as it promised to be, then i pre-ordered mine 3 months ago too an when i saw that it had been dispached last week (im in the uk) (and i got it deliverd) i was so exited, i felt like i was 10 again, when i got my n64, and i have just finished the forest temple on twilight princess and i can say that it has exeeded my expectations and they were already very high!!! i have completed ocarina of time 10+ times by now and i do think that twilight princess is better, and oot is/was my fave game ever!!

i cant wait to get warioware, super mario galaxy and super smash bros, they can only raise my expectations of the console even more now its my fave console ever and i would say one of the best things i have ever brought!

i would give it 10/10 no questions, but i think that it will only improve in time, especially with online play etc...

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

Since E3 I loved the direction that Nintendo was going in, but I must admit that I feared a little that it might bomb. After playing my Wii I know that this is not a gimmick. I was thrilled by the outcome. I don't think I could ever go back and play the GCN TP now. The system is not perfect, but it can sure be entertaining.

The system can only get better from here, and I can't wait to be there to see it.

A tea pot handle, a broom stick, a mop? Man that's uncreative..... Try A piece of toilet paper, a mustache curler, and a report card on for size. Anyway the Wii really doesnt look half bad now that its out. I had pretty low expectations but hey its growing on me. (Not enough for me to give up my dream for a 360 mind you).

re: Question - Are you happy with the outcome?

I'm unhappy with the genuinely atrocious graphics (in relativity to the Wii's main competitors) and poor implementation of several of its much-flaunted features, but otherwise the overall experience of the Wii can be great fun. It's just a shame that such moments are currently few and far between.
