Nintendo of America today announced that it has added the classic game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to its Wii Shopping Channel. The Virtual Console version of the acclaimed S-NES offering sells for 800 Wii Points.

Here's Nintendo's official description for the game:

Return to an age of magic and heroes. When an evil magician named Agahnim begins kidnapping young maidens in Hyrule in a quest to break the imprisoning seal on Ganon, a young boy named Link is called upon to stop him. Link must venture into twisting mazes, dungeons, palaces and shadowy forests as he searches for the maidens and Princess Zelda. Traversing both Light and Dark Worlds, he must navigate eight dark dungeons, fighting evil enemies and huge bosses. Help our hero prevent Ganon and Agahnim from shattering Hyrule forever.

Readers who have never played the classic game would be wise to pick it up. It is a brilliant Zelda title and worth every penny.

Yes I noticed and with that said I have a question to ask so someone help me:

I have 1100 Wii Points and I can`t get more until at least June, So if I get this then no more VC games till June. I already bought this game for the GBA and I really really want to get games like Mario Kart 64 and Donkey Kong Country when they come out in the U.S.A. But playing this game on the T.V. screen (and showing off to my friends) would be great.
So do you think it`s worth getting after reading what I said?

The only reason that im not going to buy this when it comes out in the UK is because I want to save my points for OoT.

LttP is (atleast in my mind) the second best Zelda game made. I think its worth every point. and will keep you busy til OoT comes out.

If you already have the game for the Gameboy, I would recommends just spending your points on something else.

where can you buy wii points...............? i went to target the week before the wii 1st came out and wii points where there......but i got the wii on the launch date but now they don't sell them anymore......and i was at target they not there anymore

If your parents won't let you use their credit card, then you can buy them at Gamestop.

Just buy them at the Wii shop channel with a credit card if you can`t find a points card.
