IMO, If playing with a friend thats not a noob, Wii play is one of the funnest games for the Wii.

Nothing spectacular, but it doesn't look too bad. It looks worth the $10, anyways, for that "Tanks!" game.

Why would they want to sell Wii Play alone? Other than the fact that the price would need to be higher, the fact that it is a cheap game that comes with a controller is it's selling point.

Wii Play is basically just a tech demo. I wouldn't consider it to be a real game, since it is just there to show off the controller. A bunch of games are multiplayer to compliment the inclusion of the extra controller.

Now, Wii Sports is more of a full-fledged game. It has much more depth, many more characters and difficulties, tests, multiple training modes, pro status matches, and much more that make it seem a bit more like a game. Wii Play has more, but shorter, games in it that aren't based all around real-world sports.

Honestly, my expectations are very low for Wii Play. I've put off getting a second controller until its release, but I'm basically just looking at it as another game to mess around with until better multiplayer games are available.

For crying out loud, stop quoting Infinite Gravity's link. We're perfectly entitled to discuss this game here, as well, given that it comes with some Wii hardware.

Anyway, I first played Wii Play with a friend and it was a blast. Alone, it really just isn't fun. Its still totally worth it with the second controller, though. I mean, if you see the need to have a second one, that probably means you're going to have people over to play, and it is in the multiplayer where Wii Play shines.

You do realize that very few of the threads in this forum have anything to do at all with the Wii hardware, right? This is a place for general Wii information, including discussions on games, especially those that come with a piece of , gasp, hardware, like Wii Play. It is not like we are discussing actual games in the collection, sharing tips or strategies, which would belong in the Wii Play Forum. Nor is it like we are making multiple threads all dedicated to different aspects of Wii Play. The thread began as a simple discussion of one person's disappointment, and the discussion naturally grew and evolved beyond that scope, which is how every discussion on this site is supposed to operate.

One final note. It isn't your job to police threads and keep the forum clean. That is SF's job.

Infinite gravity, go back to your corner and stop telling Sonic Flash how to moderate his forum. If he thought this thread was in the wrong place, he would have closed it. He hasn't, so logic tells me we're perfectly entitled to keep discussing it here. It isn't your job to tell us what to do, so don't.

Yeah, we can discuss Wii Play here if we want. You know that this is considered memberating, right?

You know, I'm glad that Wii Play has multiplayer. It is so fun with it just like many others have been saying. Without playing it with two people, it's just a boring game. Nonetheless, I do have some fun playing it with the computer, but not as much as playing with a friend/member of the family.
