I walked into a shop, they gave me a Wii, I paid £350 or whatever, then walked out.

i was the first on gamecrazy's list for the second shipment on the 19th i had to leave to go to a church reopening that i had to leave for at 6 in the morning by the time i got back home at 4pm there was a message on my answering machine sayin that someone didnt pick theirs up so i went and got it

if i hadnt gotten it then i would have gotten it 2 days after christmas
i went into target and the lady said she had put out the wiis 10 minutes earlier i then went to game crazy and asked them if they had gotten the second shippment yet they said no


i was really lucky that i got mine on launch day

and it isn't a very popular place, so he went to a store I guess in the morning, and he saw a few nintendo wii's

he asked for 2 and we got them, everyone else in the store just thought those were displays, and they all ran over to them trying to buy the rest,

Wow was I ever lucky. 1 wii for me and 1 for E-bay.

Ok so the only day you could preorder them at Toys'r us, I waited in line from like 5 in the morning until they opened at 11 and got my preorder.
Then on launch day I got there 30minutes before they open and was at the back of the line of about 70+ people. But I was the first person there with a preorder; so once they made the seperate line for preorders I cut infront of everyone who had been there for hours and was the first person to get my wii from that store. Some guy tried to grab it on my way out.

well in April I was still franticly searching for a Wii for my birthday. Then one saturday night I just caled Target and asked if they had any and they said no but in the morning they are getting a shipment.
Me and my mom left the house at six forty five and got there at seven and we were the ninth person with a ticket, then we waited an hour *me playing pokemon Diamond, my mom sleeping* and went into the store to get it. We also got Wii Play, and the insurance which i realize Nintendo gives you free insurance anyway.
The hard part was waiting that month until my birthday. I constantly watched Wii opening videos and every morning I'd open my Wii a little bit and just hold in.

lol at least you werent as bad as my friend with the ds. He got one opening day, had it stolen, then when his parents bought him a new one for christmas and hid it in the closet he stole that ds from the box and swaped it with his gba.

when i was waiting some guy cut the line in the front and then someone recorded it on their video phone showed the nintendo world employee and then was escorted away with police

I swear ppl were selling their spots in line for 50 dollers and the tickets for the wiis for 100 lol

Friday after launch i waited in front of a local gamestop was 3rd in line they only had 2 left =(

Who was arrested the Dude who cut or the Video Phone guy?

I sat in front of the least known store in my area for 2 hours (10 am - 12 pm) and got the only one (plus the accesories were free lol)

Sat infront of CC for 3 hours on December 3rd...and i live in wisconsin...yeah....not the warmest day of my life

I got my Wii two Saturdays ago.

But it wasn't that simple,I've looked for them for about 4 months then.[I knew about the Wii,since it first hit shelves but I didn't have the money then.]
So we were looking and looking,and by chance my mom said let's check EBgames,but I've looked there before dozens of times and I wasn't very hopeful.And so I entered the store asking the same question and expecting the same responce
but, it turns out the guy asked one of his co-workers if they sold the last one.And the co-worker said, "Let me check",then he goes in the back and when he returns he's holding my Wii in the air.And they had told me that this was the 2nd Wii they'd sold today and that it was the last one they had.

I guess I was pretty lucky,all my waiting paid off.
I'm happy with my Wii.

I got my Wii by waiting in a line for 10 hours on launch day with some of my friends.
