a Wii bit of a problem.

Sorry for that couldn't resist.

Anyway, my Wii has been working great for a long time. ever since launch date when I got it, I've had no problems. About a week ago, however, some trouble began. I had a couple of people over, we wanted to play Wii sports.I powered the machine on, ok that worked. The health screen comes on, looking good. But the "Press A to continue" is not there. I noticed that the remotes were properly synced and on. I tried reseting it, unplugging it, etc. but haven't had any luck so far, it just gets stuck on the health screen. Anyone know how to fix this or have any suggestions?

re: a Wii bit of a problem.

try letting it get passed the health screen by itself, or try unhooking the whole thing, plugging it back in, and synching the 'motes.

re: a Wii bit of a problem.

Thanks for all your responses! I'm not using any strange batteries or anything.

I emailed Nintendo customer service last night, but it might be a few days before I hear anything, so I guess we'll see. I also asked about what I could do to have it fixed.

Thanks for your responses. Whenever I find out more, I'll post it here.

re: a Wii bit of a problem.

It's a lot quicker if you call Nintendo, trust me. I had to do it today actually. The number is on the back of the Wii manuals. The people there are real nice too.

re: a Wii bit of a problem.

I just got emailed back from them. They basically linked me to the help thing on the website I already checked. They also said I should call the support number like the person above me posted if I didn't find the answer. I guess that's what I'll have to do.

re: a Wii bit of a problem.

That doesn't matter because if it's a problem with his Wii remote then the health screen would pass anyway.

Does the part at the bottom of the health screen where it says something like "Press A to Continue" blinking?
