Like i said this could be a major spoiler.
Im pretty damn sure that nero is a re-incarnation fo virgil, reasons being his arm is the same colour as virgils devil form and when nero devil turns to his devil form the figure behind him looks stupidly like virgil. Also. whey does dante let him keep yamato, also when dante first tries to take the sword back he says he "needs" the sword. And.... lol. the only human/demon characters have been created by a demon, ofcourse apart from dante and virgil who were born. oh 1 more. his holiness also comments on how he has inherited spardas power. I think i have covered it but feel free to add!  -------------------

I think the reason he has Vergils Devil from behind him is cause he is using Yamoto. How ever I like the theory floating on the web that Nero is like Dantes son, However there is no real prove to this so I'm basiclly blowing smoke out my ass
... I also find it wierd how Nero so completly mimics both Vergil and Dante in style, cltohing and hair (The white hair that seems to be a family trait) at the same time that he is like a perfect blend of the two... Like he never seems like one over the other, ya know? | |

I'm not massively far but I don't think Nero is Dante's son, if anything would be Virgil's son, otherwise why would they fight?
I do think they're somehow related but being Dante's son is something I don't agree with. -------------------  | |

i've never heard the dantes son theory. But i have heard Nero could be vergils or spardas son.
Ive also heard that the arm might be a resurrection of vergil. for example how dante and vergil (in dmc3) could absorb boss souls and recieve a weapon.Vergil could just be gaining more power in nero and the opposite could occur, where vergil pops out of nero (which is where the quote would come in "power...give me more power") ------------------- No I believe you, but I also think you are lying  | |

I don't think nero is Dante's son....I mean, why wouldn't Dante know about it? And nothing is explained about Nero's history either.
The reason why they fought in the first place was because Dante assasinated "His Holiness"....and since they don't even find out each other names until much later in the game, they definatly don't know each other. I found it strange that Nero's name is so close to Vergil's evil side. Nero, Nelo Angelo.... If anything...Nero shares Dante's blood. Dante son. theirs a problem there who the mom. ether a Trish which for Dante is like screwing with his own mom or b lady or Mary whatever you want to call her. the whole thing is weird. it could be creator like the hair.

Theory that I've seen and changed at specific points for my own ideas:
Agnus says that they found the soul of an extremely powerful devil, which if you look into the index on enemies is called the Dark Angel, and picked it apart to make the Angelo forms. Now then, that Dark Angel being Nelo Angelo, and a part of him escaping into Nero's body would be cool. But I think its more likely that The Order fused Sparda's blood into an infant Nero at some point so they can carry out their plan without Dante, who was the intentional target of the absorbtion into the Savior. Now then, Nero having Sparda's blood in him would cause some sort of demonic mutation at some point, atleast probably. Then, like with Arkham and Sanctus wielding the Sparda blade and giving them traits of Sparda, mainly the horns, its logical to assume something similar would happen to Nero with the Yamato. However, the Devil Bringer absorbs demonic artifacts into itself to gain power and did the same with the Yamato, creating an astral projection of the blade, and what Nero would look like in DT along with it. I think that it would look similar to Vergil's DT because with half-demons, atleast in teh DMC universe, their form is drastically changed by the devil-arm they wield, which would be why Nero's DT looks alot like Vergil's. -------------------  | |
