Dante-Nero-Vergil Connection? (Spoilers) |
|
Since I started this game I was so impatient to know something about Vergil and if a connection will be revealed... but everything was ignored. Damn Kobayashi... Capcom bring back the original director and producer
Hideki Kamiya (director) Shinji Mikami (executive producer) Sooo... What with the arm? What with Vergil? Trusting Nero with Yamato... ? Then who is the blue spirit demon? All I know is that Vergil is not dead... he will comeback soon seeking Power... More Power

re: Where is the Dante-Nero-Vergil connection here? |
|
Put spoiler tags in the title, please. ^^
There's a lot of speculation as to whether or not Vergil is dead after the first game. Mundus said that he was defeated, not killed, even though Vergil did leave behind his amulet...and sword. Capcom doesn't want to officially announce Vergil's death, they are leaving it open, haha. If you've ever seen Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, I think you'll best understand the following assumption: Nero may soon become Vergil. Like Kadaj becoming...well I don't want to spoil it, but because Nero has possession of Yamato and all...can use it, and the devil arm, DT shows Vergil's DT spirit...I think he took a hold of Nero's body in spirit. -------------------

The voice echo'ing "More Powah!" was definitely Vergil... so he's not dead in spirit, at the very least.
I think it's safe to assume that Nero is returning in DMC5, based on all the strings left unsewn about him in DMC4. -------------------

re: Dante-Nero-Vergil Connection? (Spoilers) |
|
Ok, so now that I finished the game (at least as far as storyline is concerned) I too am left dangling about Nero and the connection. If I recall correctly in the cut scene where Nero is taken as the core of The Savior, the old man says that they had wanted Dante as the core, but Nero would do as well, since he had the blood of Sparda. I might have heard him wrong, maybe when he said blood of Sparda, he was talking about Dante, but as soon as he said it, I thought "Ah, so Nero is a blood relation!"
Either that or he just considered the demon arm an extension of Sparda? I don't know about anyone else, but I keep thinking that Nero is Vergil's son or Vergil reincarnated.... ick, I know the time line doesn't work out quite right for him to actually be Vergil and that would remove the possibility of Vergil coming back AS Vergil... I mean, he was able to reunite Yamato. If he is not Vergil, he is at least in the Sparda Bloodline. Maybe one of Dante's offspring? =/ He let Nero keep Yamato, which was rather significant in my book. ------------------- ![]() This Post Needs More Zazz.

And I recall that Dante DEFIANTLY said that he wanted to keep the Yamato "In the family." Hmm.

Oh, did he? I'm going to have to play the last scene and the scene when Nero is taken into the Savior again tonight and check it a little closer.

"That sword was used to seal away the demons, can't have something like that floating around can I? Gotta keep it in the family."
Dante's words. More or less. ------------------- Whenever something is too good to be true, don't question it and roll with it!

Theory (could be a spoiler) :
As you have already pointed out the "keep it in the family" remark made by Dante, and useing nero in the saviors core that nero must have the blood of sparda in him and since sparda only sired twin sons (as far as we know) nero must be either the son of vergil or dante (since their resemblance is uncanny). or capcom is going to do something really stupid and make a third son of sparda ------------------- ![]()

While that is not impossible, I would think that Dante has been around for more than a little while and Nero still seems young, so I thik offspring or genetically created from Vergil or Dante's blood is more likely.

Theres no way hes a 3rd son, not possible, Nero is MUCH too young. Though Nero has the blood of Sparda in him, that was said by the old man, no mistaking it, though Iam not sure how that would work.

re: Dante-Nero-Vergil Connection? (Spoilers) |

Hey guys, I'm back. I had to leave becuz of the possible spoilers and excessive amounts of cutscene videos from the game before the game was out. Now that I've finished the game about 10 minutes ago, I decided to make a comeback.
I hated the story. So cheap, nothing's resolved, all the cutscenes are action. Nero is a cheap ****er. The bosses are so so. I also hated the fact that it's Nero's game now, instead of the son's of Sparda. Bleh. There is no Vergil, there is no explanation to the connection between Nero and Dante, there's no explanation to neros friggin white hair. Dante and Trish rocked hard. That's all I'll give. Now to the gameplay : It's really good, diverse, and multifarious. Dante's devil arms literally rock, the amount of combos possible with on the fly style and devil arm change is unlimited. Very very nice. Nero could get a little repetitive due to the 1 sword 1 gun limitation, but the context sensitive moments contribute a lot to his gameplay. Overall, they're both fun to play, devil bringer does bring something new and fun to the table. Too bad Capcom oh so stupid capcom gave away the whole friggin game in their last trailer. Stupid, stupid. I had no fun during the cutscenes whatsoever, since I knew the whole thing... Lame. Thanks for putting up with my rantings =) Good to be back guys ------------------- ![]()

re: Dante-Nero-Vergil Connection? (Spoilers) |
quote super michaelThis is really off topic, but no, Vergil is ONLY playable in DMC3 Specual Edition. In DMC4, the closest you get is Dante uses Yamato as a style and Nero uses Yamato in his DT. ------------------- ![]() "Rock and you shall recieve"
