	Wow ... I haven't been to this forum for a while. Anyways, I just thought I'd post this up. For all you people who are unfamiliar with Tomonobu Itagaki, he's the guy in charge of the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series. He is also a man well known for his big ego and blunt, to-the-point (and sometimes controversial) attitude regarding 'rival' games and their companies. At a recent press event, Itagaki talked about his newest game Ninja Gaiden II ... and how he thinks it compares to Devil May Cry 4. quote At the announcement of his new game from Platinum Games, Devil May Cry creator Kayima-san stated that the "action adventure genre hasn't evolved in seven years" and his game would bring about the climax of the genre. What do you think of that statement? Itagaki: I think Kayima-san makes good games. However, I think they, the systems, gameplay elements in his game tend to be rather shallow and he makes up with that through stylish presentation. I think if you were to compare them directly, the combat and other gameplay elements in NGII are much deeper than projects that he works on. source - gamegrep Any thoughts? 	Try actually reading the article before spouting out nonsense. In no way did he really degrade DMC, he simply said it's primary focus is being stylish, which is 100% true. The combat, at least in DMC4 is basically limited to jump cancelling as the weapon switching just doesn't pay off with such a limited amount of weapons. He didn't necessarily say that Ninja Gaiden was better, just that it actually focused on the action more than punching dolls. The games go in two totally different directions, which he's quick to point out. -------------------

	As much as i like dmc, ninja gaiden was a brilliant game and probably the hardest game i've ever played so i'm not gonna be getting involved between which one's better and which one is worse because in fairness they're both good in their own ways, it's just up to certain people in what they like. ------------------- Credit to Jaseyboy12 - R.I.P Heath Ledger 1979 - 2008

	I don't know about that. I mean Sigma was a disappointment for me, but this game looks like it has evolved drastically. I won't be surprised if it does indeed surpass DMC4 in some aspects but we still have to wait and see. From the looks of the NGII trailers, it looks like its on par with God of War which is just awesome. I also hope the lighten up on NGII's difficulty. I swear I couldn't even beat Sigma in normal mode.

	The title of the article is very misleading, like I said in the actual article, he never said "NG2 is better than DMC4" he basically said theres a diffrent appeal, which I totally agree with. ------------------- "Rock and you shall recieve"

	He's always said Ninja Gaiden is better than Devil May Cry in the past. This interview is just a surprisingly less aggressive Itagaki. -------------------

	I think hes being less agressive because he has actually played and enjoyed DMC. Iam guessing that while he played the game he realized that the appeal for the game was much diffrent than Ninja Gaiden's even though most of the people who like DMC or God of War, also like Ninja Gaiden. 	I dont see why, Sigma was good. The biggest complain I have was that they didnt make enough of a diffrence in the game to buy it if you had Black and the fact that there was no original Ninja Gaidens 1, 2, or 3. Not even the aracde one was there. Still, DMC2 was garabage, Sigma was much better. ------------------- "Rock and you shall recieve"

	The second playable character was horrible, the Dragons Claw and Tigers Fang(the twin swords) had terrible UT/ET and lag between moves, and they removed a few of the unlockables. More or less, Sigma was just a prettier version with one or two new enemies. However, his personal reason for hating Sigma, straight from his own mouth, was that the team designing it was just a bunch of rookies who simply added to what was already done in the first place. -------------------
