Ada was sent in to retrieve the Plaga sample off Luis and then off Sadler to give to Wesker at the end. It only served the purpose showing that Umbrella was generally trying to rebuild itself. It was more a spoiler than pointing towards the main plot which is DMC5. It followed Leon's personal battle and smaller elements from RE2; showing how Leon had developed and become a Government agent. The main plot plays a role in every sub RE game ever made, doesn't mean its a central role.

But according to you if it's about umbrella then it IS a central role seeing as how you are putting so much emphasis into that area. Ada was sent to get the Plaga sample for Wesker so Wesker can rebuild umbrella. That was a pretty big plot in terms of the story. That was no mere spoiler. It was Leon's job to rescue the daughter yes. Not disagreeing with that, but along the WAY he found out MUCH more about what was happening with the las plagas and Umbrella. Which are all important elements to the main plot of RE. So no…RE 4 was no side story at all.

A side story would be something like the survivor games which took place DUING the main RE games. Dead Shot, Outbreak, Survivor, those are side games. RE 4 was no side game.

Again, i'm not going to reading. I'm sick of arguing. Despite Capcom announcing it's a side-story.

Right and just because Capcom made it doesn't mean they are wrong? They've been wrong MANY times when it comes to consistency and story line in terms of games. Which brings me to the conclusion that they don't know WHAT a side story is. Separate WAYS in RE 4 was a side story. It takes places WHILE RE 4 took place. RE 4 took placed AFTER the other games and AFTER the umbrella incident. Once again…not a side story.

Umm - ok. I'm confused. Why are we discussing Resident Evil? We do have other forums for those games, you know.

And can we please not argue, although I know some of you naturally have that kind of disposition. Discussion, even disagreements are fine, but let's try to keep things civil, yes?

I've probably already said this.

DMC3 is much more epic in terms of storyline and battles.
Young Dante is much cooler than Nero and DMC4 Dante.
DMC4 was a bit more fun with exceed and Devil Bringer but the story was nowhere as good as DMC3. Also DMC3 had VERGIL.

The Devil Bringer was alright and I had fun with it. But no I agree. DMC 3 was the better game.

Only DMC3SE by a tap, but DMC4 is better than DMC3 original IMO.

I wish there was a DMC4:SE with more bonus stuff than an artbook or DVD =/

Agree with Capcom Devil here. And maybe, just MAYBE, we could FINALY get to BLEEPING play some costumes and Sparda the Knight as well as the Sword (maybe even Vergil/Nero additional playable characters, but that's just optional).

Dante and Nero in different costumes like Dante without his coat would be awesome, or Nero without his, like in my concept book which is pretty cool. I loved the art book (and I never got the DVD since i'm in the UK) but should be more to the game.
