Older Dante |
quoteImage I myself like there thinking on how they want to give the game a feeling of a new debut but I just don't like the way he looks. Discuss.

You're not 0_o you know. =P
quoteSo I don't think the one in the Famitsu scan is how he'll eventually end up looking, though we've not really had any more details on the game in quite some time.

The way Dante looks in that image Enhance posted looks alright, but is Capcom going to go by that Dante design? Really, I wouldn't mind playing as that Dante. Sure, he doesn't look nearly as bad-ass as he did in Devil May Cry 3, but he looked like more of an old man in Devil May Cry 1 and 2.
*I may be wrong about the old man thing and DMC1&2 as A) It's been 2 years since I played the original and I haven't yet played DMC2* -------------------

Well, the one in the trailer last year looked nice, despite being just DMC3 Dante in PS3 graphics. Also, I doubt they'll give Dante that design. Come E3, the new trailer will most likely show his final design, among other things.

Well, an older Dante means a more powerful Dante. But giving him facial hair doesn't seem like the wisest thing. Just give him a few makeovers and give him some "age."
And how he appears in the scans just look like rough concepts; ideas, mereley. However, since Dante looks as though he will be exploring a frozen fortress, he may need some more heavy duty clothing (ever notice that Dante seems to do the most insane stunts with less clothing on? Weird...) -------------------

>_> I sure hope that's not the render for PS3. It looks to baby faced. (its probably not) Dante looks more Feminine

OK. I just looked at the scan. I am a little confused--wasn't he supposed to be in a frozen fortress or something? The area in the magazine looks more like Vi de Marli. It better not be, because in my, and everyone elses opinion, DMC2 never happened.
And yes, Dante looks a little girly in that picture. -------------------

I hope he has the same personality as DMC3.
If it goes back to DMC2 personality I'll be annoyed. -------------------

re: Older Dante |
quote Dark DomI think differently. If he's older in this game, he should have his dmc2 attitude.

How could you even think that? His personality was about as interesting as a brick wall--flat and pointless. He hardly said anything and whenever he did, it was stupid.
He should retain his DMC1 attitude, but with a little more maturity. Just a tad. -------------------

re: Older Dante |
quote Canadian*SniperYour opinion is quite individual because Dante was nothing but a pile of shit in DMC2. I think there should be a mix of DMC1 and DMC3 Dante personality-wise. He acted like an immature bad-ass in 3 and a mature bad-ass in 1. By combining their personalities together, it'll outweigh the ugliness of his appearance for this game. Discuss further. ------------------- ![]() REIGN IN PAIN MOTHER*bleep*ERS!

Ugh, he looks like an alcoholic in those scans. They had better change it.
But as for his personality, I think it should just be an evolved version of his DMC1 attitude. He was way too cocky in DMC3 (obviously reflecting his youth). But in this game he's more of an adult; much more matured since then. Sure he should keep his trash talk, but nothing like it was in DMC3. It should just be more of a smart ass attitude, kinda like how he was in DMC1, but like I said, more evolved. And that imagine is just so... ...ugh. -------------------
