I saw a clip of the game on Youtube and I saw that Vergil is using guns. Bothe Dante and Vergil are pointing guns at each other by the end of it. I thought this guy never used guns. That's what it said in Devil May Cry 3. So why is he using them now? Is the 4th game before the 3rd? If so then does the 4th game explain why Virgil is not using guns now? If it's after the 4th then why did he change his mined?

wt.....dood, uve got ur storyline way wrong, thats nero and dante, not vergil and dante, neros some new guy with a freaky demon arm (though there is speculation that the arm is in some way connected to virgil) thats out to kill dante as it seems....

Vergil has a better hair-do than both Dante and Nero. THAT's how you tell the difference. XD

AND they both have dark purple cloaks. WOuld it have killed them to change one off the guys in a very noticable yet not to corny way? Who IS Nero anyway? I only played the 3rd game (I LOVED it btw).

What? Sparda has a purple coat. Vergil's is blue and Nero's is dark blue, almost black. There is no resemblance.

Nero is the main character for DMC4. He didn't appear in the series before.

You should give the first game a go because it's jaw-dropping, if you loved the thrid the first peronally in my opinion is better as it's harder and got good bosses to slice-and-dice. On your vergil question no one really knows what role vergil will have whether he returns as himself or some kind of spirit but as you haven't played the first game i think you'd need to find out who vergil was in that game and then you'll understand the situation better.

Yeah, capcom make them look very similar on purose. Apparently, they feel that since theyre not making dante the main protagonist, they wont hurt the feelings of fans that may think this is a bad move if they make the new guy look just like him, so you feel like ur still playing as dante..........if that all makes any sense....

That's pretty obvious...the more interesting part is who was vergil in dmc because he wasn't his normal self and iat the end of dmc3 the extra scene when vergil sees the three bright lights that explained vergil's character in dmc.
