re: who is nero and what is his motives

if nero is dante's son then that would be pretty interesting

you really wanna know what will happen?
dante opens a cake shop and becomes the worls best demon baker, nero got pissed off so he went off stealing dante's recipe's for the cake festival and the two face off in the church..when nero was spying on dante he heard dante say something about a secret ingredient..will nero find out the secret ingredient in time or will dante kill him for stealing his cake recipe? only time will tell

his arm its vergil duhhh >_>

That makes sense because that woman who found Nero alone as a child but can you give the script if you have it, its been a looong time since I've played it. But I think Dante is being cocky and is just rubbing it in that it will be a while.

I have good reason to believe Nero is or has somehing to with Vergil. It's all in the names. Nero Anjero is a more accurate translation for Nelo Angelo who we all know was Vergil in DMC1
I've read the books and played the games and this is my conclusion.

I have good reason to believe Nero is or has something to do with Vergil. It's all in the names. Nero Anjgero is a more accurate translation for Nelo Angelo who we all know was Vergil in DMC1 in fact both the names Nero Anjgero and Nelo Angelo mean Black Angel.

re: who is nero and what is his motives

First, Nero Angelo is not a translation, it's a transliteration. Second, technically speaking it's no less accurate than Nelo Angelo, Nelo Angero or Nero Angero because there's one sound for R and L in Japanese. Third, if Vergil truly is not in the game, then that blows your shaky theory out of the water.

Translators' Notes: Nero Anjyero: Nelo Angelo (game canon; enemy in DMC1) As the game uses "Nelo Angelo" they felt that a more accurate translation should have been "Nero Angelo" or Black Angel in Italian. (And this is right out of the book.)

I see.

It's still not a translation.

Alright but I still think there's some connection between Vergil and Nero.

re: who is nero and what is his motives

I think that the Arm being Nero/Vergil is probably the most logical thing i've heard so far.
We won't find out until the game comes out tho...

re: who is nero and what is his motives

this might sound a little off but just an idea. if you notice in most of the dmc3 videos, dante has his right sleeve rolled up but not his left, nero's devil arm is his right arm (i think). capcom has also stated that dante will not have a devil trigger in this game. mayb the arm represents dante's devil powers, since nero is human, he cant go full devil trigger. mayb dante wants it back b/c it makes the posessor evil or something and dante is th only one who can control it, the part where nero says "from that day forth, my arm changed and a voice echoed...power, give me more power!" doesnt make him sound like a good guy. another idea is that the video shows kyrie holding a jewel. mayb thats a piece of one of the amulets. again, these r just ideas.

re: who is nero and what is his motives

I hope.. But I also hope he doesen't ever become as strong as Dante but rather turns to him for help near the end of the game.
But jesus.. I know the game developers wanted to create a character similar to Dante in controlling style.. but they made him look exactly like him.?!
whatev..

My theory.. Nero (as we know is already part of his little holy group ) gets betrayed by them and Dante stops him.
He LATER realizes that Dante was right and his order was wrong. His order was tring to summon badasses into the world (maybe Mundus?? ) and the chase begins after them.

I really like your theory, it is also supported by the line "return it to me and I'll let u go". Hell, even Dante could throw himself to Nero just to get beat up to let him DT and he could somehow get in touch with his own DT under Nero's posession. Hope I'm making some sense =) So how the hell did Dante's Dt end up in Nero's arm ?
