I think what this guy fails to realize is he is playing with a character that isnt even fully fleshed out yet, I think he was a little bit too hard on the game...he doesnt even seem like he's giving it a chance.

Pft...DMC 4 is obviously going to rock.

Ok, maybe he was being a bit harsh but maybe, just maybe, he may be on to something. WE ARE ALL FULLY AWARE THAT CAPCOM CAN AND HAS DROPPED THE BALL. Is it not possible that the same can happen again? I mean, they are really trying to redefine the series as a whole: new guy, new "audience", new story they pulled out of their ass....

Im not trying to dog on the game at all, im simply trying to take this preview as objectively as I can. We havent played the game, weve seen videos and while it does look increadibily good, we havent actually had the control in our hands and played for a good 30 min plus. This guy has. He said he didnt feel a sense of accomplishment. Could it be because Capcom is trying to make it easier so that its more open to a larger audience like theyve stated they wanted to do? Could the emphasis on game play be trying to deliver to too much of an audience? Going multiplatform has an effect on any game especially ones that used to be exclusive whether you want to admit it or not. Could this be hurting DMC4 in some way?

The game looks amazing from what Ive seen but Ive yet to actually play it. If this guy is anywhere near close to being right on anything he said, Capcoms got some 'splaining to do.....

I do have my fears about DMC4. I just think it was because I got so excited about DMC2 and we all know how that turned out. But so far this looks fantastic! But they better have enough dante/vergil scenes to keep me happy!

I do believe this is going to be a good game....the only thing i guess i could say is the gameplay looks "familiar". This isnt bad, but I hope that they give us something fresh like a dante flying sequence or maybe some context sensitive portions of the game (a la GoW) just to change up the gameplay a little bit. I think the thing that got this reviewer guy all upset is because he has seen it before. Doesnt look like much has changed...and the difficulty level seemed pretty low. But again, its way too early to tell. I am confident that this game wont disappoint.

How credible are these people anymore? I mean, seriously. From what I've read, sites like 1up and IGN have played the latest demo and thought it was great, and now this guy comes along and gets all negative about it. I think I'll just wait until a demo of the game is released before I start accepting these peoples' impressions of the game as fact.

As soon as I saw him comparing Devil May Cry to Ninja Gaiden and God of War I understood, he probably prefers those games over DMC games. And that was nothing more than a way to take his anger out on DMC4.

As far as the game looks, I don't think we'll be disappointed. If he wants to hate, he can hate. It's not like anyone is going to avoid buying DMC 4 just because this one objective review.

I personally don't listen to Joystick, they talk crap all the time.

I think he may be comparing it to one tho, in the original when you had a fight, it was a few creatures and the fights were hard as hell, now theres about 50 fighting you at a time and you can kill them so easily you have to do it in style as well

yea....i would actually like to see some of those shadow cats come back...i hated those! but they provided an awesome challenge. I think that is exactly what this reviewer is trying to convey...the fact that in the demo all the enemies are a bunch of punching bags. Hopefully that is just a small small part of the game. hopefully they'll take the dmc fans words to heart.

i'm sure 99% of the individuals who frequent this website would snatch up that lame job in a heartbeat.
