Soul Calibur FTW!

1. SC looks like LOTRs and Final Fantasy connected.
2. The trails the weapons leave behind is odd.
3. The weapons are over used, and it gets boring after a while.
4. It looks too sci fi.
5. Too unrealistic.
6. The graphics are worse than Tekken's

Tekken has
1. Better Fighting System
2. Better Characters
3. Moves are different (Jus tlook at King, not one of his moves are similar, they all pwn)
4. Better Styles on Tekken
5. The name Tekken is better than Soul Calibur
6. Yoshimitsu's on Tekken > Any other game
7. Better Layout on the Menu's.

Soul Calibur is a nice series, but its not as cool as Tekken, SC has some cool characters but Tekkens one are better because they are cool but in the same time realistic, and this goes for the whole gamplay.

Tekken has depth to it, soul calibur is kinda just corny.

I agree Soul Calibur has some badass characters (Zasalmel looks pwnage), but still, i would prefer Tekken 5 over Soul Calibur 3.

I like the stages in Tekken better too.

I mean, the music is better as well.

You can fight in a catholic church, a burning temple, Antartica, and a field filled with cotten like plants with the wind blowing... that's great.

8. You can buy sword (to the characters), Itemes(buy pictures in the game, buy Embixion theatre (where they train), Buy Armurs to Create a character
9. You can make Kos-Mos, Valkyrie, Tekken characters and more ..
10. Chronicle of the sword rules
11. You can fight a Big statue
12. You collect money in the Soul Arena
13. There's bonus characters ..you can fight these while doing some characters story ..you don't fight the standard character always like in Tekken ..

1. Tekken have lame/boring characters
2. The stages suck
3. The moves or the styles suck and is almost the same
4. There isn't much difference in the characters in Tekken 6
5. SC's Yoshimitsu is better and use the sword more ..which he should
6. Tekken is cheap and it is to many fighting games without sword..

About the graphic, SC is just in the III while Tekken is in 6 ..there for ..and you haven't seen Soul Calibur IV!

So what? But there is also Soul Edge and all that crap, and who is looking at the version? Im looking at the time it was released, games that just had their first version can own any game's graphics.

Tekken stages suck? SC rips off of tekken so hard it isn't even funny. They even took some of it's characters. As well as zelda who sucks.

Just to sum up things, Tekken is a *bleep*ing classis, SC is not a classic, Tekken 5 is one of the top 3 most selling game for the PS2, SC is NOT there, i doubt its even in the top 10.

Why are you people pitting Tekken and Soul Calibur together? If you played them both, then you've obviously noticed that they're NOT the same.

Tekken uses traditional fighting styles, no weapons [except Yoshimitsu and Kunimitsu], and it takes place in modern [if not, futuristic] times.

Soul Calibur uses mostly traditional weapon fighting styles, and it takes place in a sort of a fantasy/medieval time.


There really isn't ANYTHING that's similar to each other, other than the fact that it's a fighting game. (HP Bars, Punches, Kicks, Blocks..) They're completely different and unique in each way. I wouldn't even think to compare the two.


Comparing Tekken to Soul Calibur is like comparing Street Fighter to Virtua Fighter. There's nothing similar about the two except for the fact that it's a fighting game.

BTW i dont think Soul Calibur suck, its just that i had much more fun playing Tekken than in SC2, though the fact that i borrowed it finished already made it much less fun, but i have nothing against that series. Tekken owns, i hope thats the end.
