For those unfamiliar with the accronyms and words used for describing moves.

The following makes it easier to communicate, without having to say "Down and Forward and Square, Square, Triangle, Circle!".

Learn them well:

f - Forward
b - Back
u - Up
d - Down
df - Diagonals between down and forward.
db - Diagonals between down and back.
uf - Diagonals between up and forward.
ub - Diagonals between up and back.
F - Forward HELD
B - Back HELD
U - Up HELD
D - Down HELD
DF - Diagonals between down and forward HELD.
DB - Diagonals between down and back HELD.
UF - Diagonals between up and forward HELD.
UB - Diagonals between up and back HELD.

B! : Bound
* - No input. Joystick remains neutral.
QCF - Quarter-circle forward. (d-d/f-f)
QCB - Quarter-circle back. (d-d/b-b)
HCB - Half-circle back. (f-df-d-db-b)
FC - Full crouch.
WS - While standing (from a crouch).
BT - Back-turned.
SS - Side step.
SSR - Side step Right.
SSL - Side step Left.
CD - Crouchdash.
, - Used to separate key inputs.
~ - Next button in sequence must be pressed immediately after the first.
+ - Must be pressed at the same time.
[] - You have the option to do this. Not compulsory.
( _ ) - Press either one or the other. Makes no difference.
L - Hits low.
M - Hits mid.
H - Hits high.
SM - Special mid.
! - Unblockable
JS - Juggle starter.
CH - Counterhit.
Okizeme - Keeping the opponent grounded.

EWGF - Kazuya and Heihachi's Rising Uppercut (f,d,f/d+2).
DCK - Steve's Duck Stance.
DGF - Yoshimitsu's Dragonfly Stance.

Lingo simply means a language that is unfamiliar.

I don't think it really matters.

Well thats not that hard to remember, at least not the basics. I didnt get to remember all in one day myself actually.

you remember ALL OF THAT?!

It's easy.

You only really need to remember FOUR things.

1 = Square
2 = Triangle
3 = X
4 = O

The directional abbreviations are pretty obvious:

f = front
b = back
u = up
d = down



Btw, guys. If you find more abbreviations, for example, character stances, feel free to post them in this thread and I'll add them to the top post. ^^

what about 1+3 and 2+4 for the grabs?

Once you know the 1,2,3,4, the grabs, along with all the moves, should be obvious.
