TOTALLY not fair |

the 360 version has split-screen gaming? 2 exclusive characters? 5 exclusive maps? WHAT THE *bleep*? sure, PS3 got mods, but hey... until i bought UT3 I didn't even think it was possible. I'd gladly sacrifice mods (for now, seeing as how XBox is scheduled to have them too) for some exclusives!

That's pretty silly of you to be frank. OK split-screen might be pretty cool if you need 2 player splitscreen for some reason, though honestly it's useless to me. I never play games split-screen, it loooks worse, and is too small, and myself and the few gamer friends I have, have more fun playing online than split-screen. But if split-screen is important to you, then ok, but that is the only valid argument you have.
There is nothing special about the 2 extra characters. They are just 2 more models that don't look any different from the models in the PS3 version. You'd be willing to trade countless models, that are acctually cool, and different looking, and characters from other games, for 2 generic character models that add nothing to the game? The 360's 5 exclusive maps were just epic remakes of user created maps that were already put on the PS3 version. So you'd be willing to trade Hundreds upon hundreds of awesome, original map, for 5 maps that are already on the PS3 version anyway? You'd rather trade untold numbers of EXCLUSIVE mods on PS3, for 8 pieces of exclusive content from Epic, when most of the user created stuff on PS3 is better than Epic's own maps and models, and mutators to begin with? Dude, I wish I knew you when I was a kid, when so many kids were collecting different kinds of trading cards (spots, and non-sport), cuz I would have made a killing off you. You'd rather have common, lame, worthless cards than the cards that are acctually cool and worth something. You're deffinitely a sucker that I would have taken advantage of when I was a kid. And also, just to clarify something for you. The 360 version is never going to get mod support. Epic has already said as much. The most it will get is a few user mods put together in an expansion pack that you'll undoubtedly get charged for on Live. Forget even all the map mods and mutators, I'd rather just have all the (like 50) character mods that the PS3 has and the 3rd person cameras than any of the stuff the 360 version got. The thing is.....I DO get those characters, and hundreds of maps, and boatloads of mutators on top of those. I just don't understand your logic on this matter. ------------------- ![]() Deny Ignorance. http://thelivingmoon.com PS3 UT3 mods @ http://ut3mod.com

I read your whole post. I replied to almost every word.
Anyway, there's no reason to be pissed off. Like I said, the 360 will not get mod support. It's not gonna happen. M$ won't allow it. Epic said they were looking into it long before the 360 version was released, then right near release Epic said it's not going to be able to happen, but at some point they would put some of the more popular mods up on Live for download. There won't be even a fraction of all the great mods that have been made up on Live. The 360 will be lucky to even get Action Cam. A good source would really be anywhere you can get the PS3 versions. The epic forums and the site in my sig are probably the best, though we havn't updated ut3mod in a while. If you are getting the userdata.jams and putting them in the proper place in the memory card, and then importing you should be having no problems. It's a pretty simple affair. Your problem with characters doesn't even sound possible. The character mods install but don't show up in the character select menu, but you have the parts? That makes no sense. It's impossible. If that's happening, you screwed something up that I can't even begin to fathom. You may want to try deleting all your mods, then delete the install data, then re-install and start over. ------------------- ![]() Deny Ignorance. http://thelivingmoon.com PS3 UT3 mods @ http://ut3mod.com

okay... that seems fair. and now that i think of it, people, im sure, would/could just add mods of those 'xbox only' characters and maps. and they might add in a patch for ps3 splitscreen... is it possible?
