Hi, I have never played any metroid prime game before, but I have been told that this is a really great game and worth going out and buying, I havnt got the money to go get all 3 is it important i play the first 2 before i play this one or would it be okay to get into the 3rd one easily? I suppose i could always go and buy the 1st one first.. but is it worth it?

all of them are worth of obtaining but it makes no difference if you havent played any oter MP game, that will just increase the fun.

Well, the storylines are connected, so some things make more sense if you know what went on in the first two. You don't need to, though, since each game has a story of it's own. You'll still understand the storyline in 3 if you didn't play the first two, it's just more enjoyable if you pick up some small references to the earlier games.

I would recommend getting the first Metroid Prime if you can, it's only a few bucks if you buy it used at Gamestop or EB Games, but it's not necessary. It's just a fantastic game (one of my favourite games ever, really), so I'd recommend playing it anyway. Metroid Prime 2 is excellent, too, but it's my least favourite of the three. The order you play them in isn't a big deal, though, since each one has a different story with a different goal.

No, only the very first portion of the game has a time limit. The rest of the game allows you to explore and fight at your own pace.
