I couldn't see much, but according to sources and from what I saw:
Meta Ridley- I didn't know if my eyes deceive me, but this is one of the enemies I saw. Samus fighting it like if they were free-falling. This should be one of the most interesting boss battles. He never dies... Dark Samus/ Metroid Prime- Definitly coming out, although no appearance in the trailer I think. But my speculation is that it won't just stick to it's humanoid form (Just like any good final boss battle). Please report any boss findings in this thread.. ------------------- | |

I heard a "rumor" about a certain boss battle. A shapeshifter if you will. It was just a rumor. Most likely a scheme.

Well early bosses in early productions sometimes are scraped.
Examples include: Meta Kraid (MP1) Dark Chozo (MP2) Cybernetic parasie queen (MP1) Big Space Pirate (MP2) But some pull through though, so we may see this "shapeshifter" after all, it sounds interesting. ------------------- | |

Yeah Kraid would be sick. We know Ridley returns so that fights gonna be sweet. From the video it looks like your either flying along side of him, or he has grasp of you (or vice versa). Either way the boss battles are gonna feel real.

Kraid would be fairly simple to put in, just use the Recycled Data created for him in MP1.

There is official art and confirmation of the return of DS. Also, I saw a pretty sick shot of Samus' new gunship on IGN.

I saw Samus' Gunship in the trailer for this game too. I can't believe those graphics.

All I know is that the boss battles are gong to be awesome. MP1 and MP2 both delivered in that respect.
I am curious as to how Dark Samus will play a role. I mean, they can't just reuse its attack patterns from MP2 - that would just be lazy. ------------------- | |

I love the Metroid boss battles. Ridleys return!!

I loved Dark Samus fights in Echoes. In the final battle, when she went into her bubble and shot Phazon, that crucifiction look she had was sweet. More person like battles would be awesome. And using the Grapple Beam more, but that seems to be taken care of. Also, destroying an enemy from the inside, like being eaten as a Morph Ball and expanding inside and shooting up the stomach.... amazing.
