you move with the d-pad. You turn by sliding the stylus in the direction you want to turn.

No, I mean how do you shoot and stuff? Is there buttons that you tap on the touch screen?

Lately I've been thinking about the grapple beam controls.
I love the fact that you flick the nunchuck to use the grapple beam. It sounds really immersive and fun. However, apparently you just pull back on the analogue stick to pull the beam back. I would much prefer pulling the nunchuck back instead. What do you guys think? ------------------- ![]()

But isn't that used for the grapple-arm movement?
Throw the nunchuck forward, then pull it backwards to move the arm and actually pull. In fact, I doubt there will be many times that the beam doesn't come back on it's own, but automatically when the puzzle is solved/enemy is killed/enemy breaks free. -------------------

Well the use of the nunchuck will probobly change depending on where you use it. When close to a door that you have to pull, thrusting the nunchuck will go from using the grapple beam to using Samus' arm.

quote AlkalineI watched those vids you posted in General Wii earlier, and that bloke dissagrees with you. He says in the second vid that you throw the nunchuk to shoot the beam, then pull it back to pull it back. Where did you hear that you needed to use the analog stick from? -------------------

I've read lots of previews about the game, and all of them state that you pull back with just the analogue stick, not the entire nunchuck unit.

Why flick the nunchuck forward, but just pull the anolog stick back? Flinging it back would make it seem more real.

Exactly. That's why I'm confused. Retro have certainly made a strange decision.
Personally I will be pulling the nunchuck back as well. Just makes it seem more realistic. ------------------- ![]()

Wait, I thought you pulled the whole unit back as well.
If that's right, it's going to be very weird. =/ -------------------

Flick gesture the nunchuck unit toward one of these creatures and her beam will blast toward them and grip their shield. Then, all you need do is press backward on the nunchuck unit's analog stick and you'll literally rip the shield away, exposing the Space Pirate. Why is that Jaw Knee? quote AlkalineHe's mad at Prime because he's stuck. What suprises me about that link is the A will be used for shooting, while B will be for jumping. But dosen't the B button resemble a trigger? Why aren't they using that? ------------------- Poop

I've noticed several people complaining about this.
I think it's because Metroid requires very fast shooting (rather than just holding the trigger), so you have to move your thumb quickly. I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's easier to move your thumb quicker than it is to curl your index finger. ------------------- ![]()
