i said you don't need to use auto aim............but you can if you want.......they don't need to change the controls.

The Metroid Primes would have been too difficult to play with add-on. Imagine trying to beat Thardus without lock-on?
If anything, lock-on added more strategy and better combat to the games. ------------------- ![]()

Metroid Prime 1 + 2 would have been impossible without the lock-on feature. The controls made it so it was difficult to even move properly until you got used to them, due to the Gun select C-stick not being used in the normal FPS way. Without the lock-on there would have been no strafing, which is essantial to any FPS, really. Plus, there's the whole stop-moving-to-aim thing which have made it impossible to beat most bosses, or even most enemies.

quote oOhennersOoFor Metroid 3 : Corruption, I hope they just go back to the old way and make a nice classic FPS system for the more seasoned FPS gamers. That would satisfiy me oh so much since getting used to controls is kinda lame. -------------------

First off, the control scheme is pretty much revealed already. It's not classic. Anyone who's seen the Wii remote knew in advance there was no way it could be a classic control scheme.
And second, the generic FPS control schemes have this nasty tendency to, you know, suck total ass. ------------------- quote ![]()

I quite like the FPS controls.
Like I said, after E3, everyone wanted the PC style, where the crosshair always stays in the middle, but Retro want the whole "invisble box" way of shooting and looking. I think I'd prefer the PC style. The classic control scheme wouldn't work. You need to anolog sticks, unless you mean the PC style. But PC gaming sucks. -------------------

I think I was misunderstood. I just want a control scheme that's simple and something that I'd be used to or something that I could get a hang of in like 10mins tops.

Such impatience.
What's wrong with adjusting to a new system? Didn't you have to adjust moving from 2D to 3D? This is just going to be another adjustment period (although anyone who have played PC FPS games might not need to adjust as much). -------------------

I myself won't mind getting used to it. I'm not all that fond of the PC style. Games like Unreal Tournament, are what I suck at most, mainly because I'm more of a strategist than a "shoot everything that moves" mentality player.

There's actually not much wrong with Corruption's controls. It's nice and sensitive and easy to aim with.
The only real problem is turning. Right now it's too slow. Personally, I feel Retro should increase the turning speed the further you move the Wiimote to the side. ------------------- ![]()
