Haha yay! First post! Just wondering, why are you all members so damn mean? He got the mod position. I know you all wanted it and you're secretly crieing at the moment but just congratulate him and have it over with.

Hmm I wonder if we're gonna spend the first few pages discussing the name for this thread like in many other forums.

I don't mind not collecting everything in a game before beating it or starting a new one. The fact that I never have everything in the game reminds me that I'm still only human.
Haha yeh but game developers design games to a human can (in theory) get a 100%. 100% on a game isn't some super human feat. It's putting a bit more effort into a game and playing it longer.

Believe me, henners. I have no problem with you being the moderator. Just as long as you don't go trying to patrol every Wii forum like some power-hungry maniac, I'm fine with that.

So is this game going to be longer than the rest?
Then being a mod would be no fun T_T.

Hehe joking.

I have never seen that example happening. You mean because he was "patrolling" here before he became Mod? He didn't seem to impose rules on us (At least none that I've seen of)
Did I specificly say that he "patrolled" the forum? No. Has he posted often in this forum before? No. Was I applying that message to him? Yes and No.

If you look at a few moderators, ones whose names I shall not say, they have about four or five forums to moderate and their constantly bullying other users just because they have the power. Now, Henners wouldn't do that because he's a good guy.
Dude..mods don't bully members at all. When your modding 5 forums i can imagine that it's not very easy so your not gonna have time to sugarcoat all your posts to make all you 12 year old boys feel good inside.
Besides, i can imagine that mods have a life too.

Framerate? Anything less than perfect and I'll start shooting. Retro are working close with Nintendo, so I'm sure they've got a rough idea of how far to push the hardware without destroying framerate.

For the record, the title of this thread sucks. I demand a renaming.
You will shoot..in the game...ahaha (please don't kill me )

Anyways, yeah that's what I suggested in the first post...no one listens anymore...

Hmmm I think I shall agree with Alkaline. Enter Sector Zero is better than anything I can up with at the moments and it sounds more complete than just "echoes" hehe.

Al is fine. Or Alky.

I heard the other control scheme was actually avaliable at E3 but very few people realised this. I think you could use it by holding a button or something.

Alky? You sound like an alcholic...hehe
If that's the case I should be called sarp and henners is now hen. Heheh

i like the normal MP controls when you like hold down R to lock on to the enemy......or you don't have to lock on.
Like Auto aim? While your add it why don't you just get the guy down the street to play the game for you while you watch? I hate auto aim. Then there's no aiming involved and the computer doing the game for you. Bad bad bad.

re: General Discussion 2: Echoes

Metroid Prime 1 + 2 would have been impossible without the lock-on feature. The controls made it so it was difficult to even move properly until you got used to them, due to the Gun select C-stick not being used in the normal FPS way. Without the lock-on there would have been no strafing, which is essantial to any FPS, really. Plus, there's the whole stop-moving-to-aim thing which have made it impossible to beat most bosses, or even most enemies.
For Metroid 3 : Corruption, I hope they just go back to the old way and make a nice classic FPS system for the more seasoned FPS gamers. That would satisfiy me oh so much since getting used to controls is kinda lame.

re: General Discussion 2: Echoes

I think I was misunderstood. I just want a control scheme that's simple and something that I'd be used to or something that I could get a hang of in like 10mins tops.

re: General Discussion 2: Echoes

Metroid was pretty poor but in it's time it was most likely a very decent game. It's just that you guys are so used to playing those games in which the "computer" holds your hand through it and gives you "maps" and lots of "life".

Like featherbrain said. That's why old shcool gamers were hella skilled.

I wasn't refering to you Omega Hunter 24 but just on the whole generation of gamers as a whole. No offence intended.

re: General Discussion 2: Echoes

Ya Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo took the series from "decent" to "platinum" in my opinion. Metroid Prime did this effect for the younger generation.

I think that's why we expect so much from this series.
