best explination would be the original is severely wounded in metroid. (robotics were used in zero mission to create the robot ridley)
in prime he is revived under a cybernetics program but his upgrades were interupted by samus and the parasites. he is damaged and plunges down into the phazon chasm. I am not sure about metroid prime 3 but we can assume that the phazon energy revives ridley and mutates him a little. if not then the pirates clone him. in super metroid the pirates likely made a clone of ridley possibly bioengineering him to augment his natural abilities. in metroid fusion ridley is actually dead or in cryo stasus. the x infect the body so it really isnt ridley in fusion. ------------------- Confuscious say "Elevator smell very different to midget" | |

Getting back to the subject of the thread...I don't like the Samus in MP 2 or 3. i think the one from MP,(with better hair of course) is the best. Mustard colored hair that looks like it is made of wood is not right. the MP Samus looks realistic.

Samus really needs to ditch that horrible haircut, I mean, it looks ok in Zero Mission, but Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion Samus pwnz.
But if you mean the Power suit, it could've used better looking Add-ons (I actually missed the Varia suit after I got the PED) -------------------

I agree. By the end of the game, the PED suit looked simply horrible. There were too many things mashed together. And the name of the suit just sounds wrong too. And Your post is funny. You act like 'Samus' actually has a choice of what kind of hair she gets.

Frankly, I think the PEDo suit looks God-awful. It gets slightly better when the glowing shoulder pads are added but it's still pretty ugly. After finishing Metroid Prime: Echoes with the Light Suit, this just looks terrible. I was waiting for a suit upgrade that would take that great mess and put it in a nice sleek package but I was unfulfilled. I demand to speak with Samus' tailor.

On a more serious note, I'm still at Bryyo, because I'm starting to take on a more casual gaming life. So, I haven't seen the PED suit toward end-game, but I think it looks sexy so far. | |

I'm not a fan of the PED suit either.
She looks the best in MP2. I like the blondeness, although, they need to fix the fringe a bit. -------------------
