In Melee, I limited myself to Fox and Young Link, but now, each of the characters has a special place in my heart.
That is too say, I'm competent with almost every character. I can beat most of my friends with almost any character.
But I mostly main with Donkey Kong, Zelda, MK and DeDeDe.

Ness and Kirby were my mains in Melee. They still are, but Lucas and Lucario are now my mains. I still use Ness and Kirby, but not as much. I've been using Luigi, Peach and Fox more than I have in Melee.

My mains changed in every game.

64: Ness, Kirby, Pikachu, Jigglypuff.

Melee: Pichu, Jigglypuff, Game & Watch.

Brawl: DIDDY KONG. (As well as Yoshi, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Lucas, Ness, ICs, Jigglypuff, Game & Watch, Dedede, but I use Diddy the most)

Surprisingly, Jigglypuff has been one of my mains in every game.

I haven't changed my character but I've dded two.

I Changed Falco and CF but now they are my two out of 3 mains my other main is Pit ^^

I see what this is now. Some hot-shot Smash player who thinks they're fooling people with this horrible charade. Obvious attempt at using tier knowledge for comedic effect failed. =/

I used to main Roy and Young Link, but now I main Zelda.

I used to use Ice Climbers, Jigglypuff, Marth and Samus, I don't use Samus anymore but can, Marth is now the only character I can't use.

In SSB it was Kirby
In SSBM it was Kirby
in SSBB it is Pikachu

In melee I used Zelda as my main. But I also used the ice climbers a lot. Now I main pit and occasionally use Zelda, Metaknight, and Olimar. Surprisingly I'm actually starting to use Jigglypuff more and more though.

In Melee it was Fox for a LONG time, now it is pretty much Fox...

I hardly ever use Mario anymore because they nerfed his cape and fireballs. Also, I don't like the fludd replacement for his spin move since I actually used that smash.

In melee, I KO everything with Pikachu, although the "Defeat Captain Falcon in seven seconds" event mach required a different strategy *cough*Samus*cough*
This time around, it depends on what the character line-up is like, by that, I'm talking about how they can efectively be used. I can't say for sure who I use until I get the game (hopefully tomorrow when it comes out over here).
