DARK SAMUS in SSBB |
|
After I beat Metroid Prime 3 I was so awed by Dark Samus's......umm....awesomeness that I said to meself "Why isn't she in brawl?" Thus this thread was born!
Basically just write why Dark Sammy should be in brawl and a couple of moveset ideas (specially good FSs) Here's what I think: D. Sammy should be in brawl cause she's awesome and can split in three and who doesn't love that evil chuckle? Plus, she's an evil clone. Who doesn't love those? OK, here's my FS. First, she splits in three, 2 off to the side and 1 goes into the background (hmmm this seems familiar...). The 2 go off to either side and do that little phazon tendril shield thing to pull people toward the center. The other clone would shoot a big phazon beam from the back then fly up and sweep with her scatter shot and then use the Shine Spark straight down. The impact would create a phazon shockwave that hits anyone inbetween the other clones. That's all I got. ------------------- Face my flaming wrist fury! Brawl: 3652-0415-6288 Tag: BlazX

Why do you type Sammy instead of Samus? It's the same amount of letters and it looks/sounds cooler D=

They'd be like Mario and Luigi. Kind of the same in how their moves look but they'd work differently. Also, isn't the black/dark alt. costume enough?

quote SonicFirePhazon suit. Anyway, Dark Samus is actually shades of like dark purple and blue, not so much dark shades of orange. Its fighting style is also much different to standard Samus. Regardless, I wouldn't want Dark Samus in this game. Seems like a pointless character. I'd rather have more interesting characters. ------------------- Onocron ![]()

Zero Suit Samus is Samus, without the power suit or any other version of it.

re: DARK SAMUS in SSBB |
quote SonicFireThe naming is stupid, in my opinion. Zero Suit Samus is as close to Samus as you can get without ripping off the Zero Suit, so THAT should have been "Samus." What is currently "Samus" should have been "Power Suit Samus." Either way, the announcer should announce the winner as Samus, since they are the same "character." ------------------- Onocron ![]()

quote XboxOmacSeph is referring to Dark Samus. Dark Samus is the result of the Metroid Prime taking on a similar form via the Phazon Suit. Dark Samus is not female, nor a clone. lol -------------------

quote JyarraGeez, how many times can you say Samus in one post? Lulz. But yes, it should be Power Suit Samus. And not Zero Suit Samus (even though its ok to me) but Samus or Samus Aran would be better, more on Samus though. Because they don't do their last names but hers is short so eh. But if they do one persons last name then people will complain about the other real names/last names. Plus I'd take Captain Falcon over "Captain Douglas Jay Falcon" any day, I don't even want to hear the announcer guy say that. -------------------

Argument over a character's name? Ugh, and it's not even about the Ice Climbers!
Dark Samus would be undeserving, kind of like Sheik. In Smash Bros, only classic characters get in, or main protagonists (exception: Pokemon characters), Dark Samus, or 'Metroid Prime' just hasn't been in enough games, Sheik and Ganondorf remain to this day the only characters unplayable outside the Smash universe. Ganondorf deserves the spot due to being a vital part of the Zelda series. Dark Samus would send fans into a rage, "Dark Samus gets in but not Ridley?" If I let, oh say... Lanky Kong in over Diddy, or Bowser Jr. in over Luigi. Although no one could make the connection officially, I wouldn't be doing much as far as making fans happy. Lots of People wanted Midna with or without Wolf Link, some would gladly trade Toon Link for her, but Midna got one game, Toon Link was the official Link for several years, some, like myself, loved those years, considering them to be some of the best Zeldas around, although making the character a clone was a bit of a cold shoulder... ------------------- Do you know what glue is made of?

I think Dark Samus would've been good in SSBB. And Dark Samus' attacks can be quite a bit different from Samus'. They would NOT be like Lucas/Ness. For sure.
Here's some possible special moves for Dark Samus: Neutral: Fires a scattershot Phazon blast that rapidly deals damage. Charged up for longer duration. Can cancel the beam by pressing B again. Side: Fires Phazon missiles that are fast and are slightly homing and do good damage, but not much launch. It has about the same range as Samus' normal missiles. Charged can shoot multiple missiles. Up: Uses shinespark straight up and then straight down with a small shockwave. Kind of like Kirby's Up+B, but with a shockwave that goes both ways, but less distance. Down: That Phazon shield Dark Samus has. It deflects projectiles and deals damage/launch, but cannot be used in mid-air.

quote stickdude97Seems like we're the only ones who actually think Dark Samus would be a good character I like your moves, shinespark was actual an idea of mine too. I was also thinking of some sort of curve-ible boostball but can't see how it would work. I love the missle idea! It's like a phazon seeker launcher lol. Do you have any FS ideas? ------------------- Face my flaming wrist fury! Brawl: 3652-0415-6288 Tag: BlazX

Putting Dark Samus in brawl would be risking another clone. Brawl has enough clones already.
quote Murray3Ridley's too big anyway. quote Murray3And Toon Link only got 2 games. Your getting Toon Link & Young Link mixed up. To me, toon link was nothing special, he's just another clone with minor differences. ------------------- ![]() And Doctors, and Lawyers & Cops
