From the outside looking in your case looked to me like B. But if you enjoy playing Snake just as equally more power to you, I'm not in control of who you should main or not lols. I just don't like seeing people drop characters they enjoy just to win, y'know? Or seeing people play just to win. It's kinda irked me a little in the community. I've experienced one case, and from that point on I really do try and convince said person to not play just for winning. Smash isn't really the best game for that.

I didn't mean every character had a crippling matchup with MK, sorry if it came out that way. But every character does have one matchup that absolutely wrecks them, some worse than others(lolFox).

You are right about the Marth main thing. That bulk of Marth mains is slowly dwindling down. From my perspective, it's sorta cool, cause I don't have to worry so much about the matchup anymore, on the other side of things Olimar's rising up in popularity, MK's already popular, same with Snake, so it's relaxing for me not to have to worry about Marth, but it is kinda hard sticking with a character without much of a community to it, and I'll give you that 'Marth doesn't win much tournaments' point, cause it is true.

Nah, I don't really think Marth-MK is more possible than it really is, but I'm more open minded about it because, I haven't really experienced it much myself. I would've played some good MK's by now but... blegh. it's so weird telling people that the monthlies you go to, MK is banned.

Lol good stuff on your Marth 2-stocking Lobos. tbh, I don't really know where I stack at all compared to all the other Toon Links. For all I know I could still suck, or be even better than Lobos. Who knows.

I guess what you're saying is somewhat true but I've seen someone put months into a character and then change mains and get just as good with another character in a week...I do enjoy Marth still but I don't use him in tourney anymore, lolz...he's a pretty easy character to learn anyway...and I dun like losing, esp. in tourney, lolz.

Of course I'm playing the game to win AND for fun, not just to win, lolz. I probably wouldn't play it if I didn't enjoy playing it. Yeah, I like all of the characters that I use from their games...or system in ROBs case, lolz. I do play Snake to win but I do play mgs too and I do enjoy him as a character. I still play Marth among the other characters I like in friendlies and such but I stick to Snake in tourney, so I'm doing better in matches while still playing all of the characters I like.

Yes, I'll agree that many characters have at least one crippling matchup but in the case of Pika, there are probably 5-10x more MK mains then there are Fox mains so it makes it that much harder for Marth. If Marth had a 50/50 matchup with MK and had a tough matchup against say G&W or someone, I would definitely stick with Marth in tourney and keep getting better with him but too many people use MK for Marth to be effective in tourney.

Yeah, less Marths mean you have to worry less about the matchup but when you do play Marth, I think Azen would still play him, you won't have any matchup experience and that might suck for you...also, less Marths might equal more MKs which is also bad, lolz. Also, the problem with there being less and less Marth brought up the problem with me not really having anyone to discuss the character with to make myself better and I actually saw myself start to get worse where as with Snake, I can discuss how to better myself with him with Greg, Candy, Korn, etc. so I'm seeing more constant improvement which is good.

I was open to the matchup a little while ago and tried it a lot time and time again but being unable to win the matchup against a MK I thought was good pretty much killed my confidence in the matchup, so I lost my open-mindedness. I really dislike MK banned tourneys, until the community bans MK as a whole, you're just losing the matchup experience for yourself which will hurt you in larger tourneys where MK isn't banned...and when MK is banned, Snake starts to rape more...sucks that all you go to is MK banned tourneys though =/

Yeah, it's hard to judge anyones character from online play, esp. when I don't play singles online but it looks like you have a pretty legit TL xD Lobos is a pretty good TL, one of the best in our region, but he has some bad matches, after I 2 stocked him, I'd say we were probably pretty even after...idk though =/
