quote MenkoyScrub. I tipper Mks before out of their nado. It's possible quote AlMoStLeGeNdArYHow about you go to bed? Jk lol. Just attack someone with spacing at tipper range and you just got yourself no shieldgrabbed. Hooray! Ahaha. But otherwise yeah I'll definitly do this without a doubt seeing as how I play as Marth as well and main characters who always get shield grabbed and play close combat range. ------------------- ![]() We didn't lose </3

quote Checkmate Marth sucks. I remember one of the guys I lost to at VC his name was MR Clutch he played Wario. I just get shield grab whenever I get over confident in my approach or think I won't get grabbed. I just got off of work prob wont hit the sack for another hour. I also got raped by this Asian kid playing Marth in friendlies was awkward. ------------------- ![]() ![]() Thanks HuGs4HacKeRs 4 the awesome sig.

Overconfidence is bad. I know it sucks lol. When I approach with Marth's Fair, I usually go for retreating Fair then FFAD buffer to a shield just in case they shielded my retreating Fair.
quote Military GTo answer to this: For Marth= If Mk is coming towards you with Nado (loln00b) with mucho room to breath= Fsmash them (should be tipper to an extent) if you don't have that much time = shield (point the shield angled upwards to prevent shield stabs) just barely enough room = use downb otherwise counter. If they're going with grounded tornado = pivot grab When mk is hitting your shield with tornado. You have some options, it'll be your job to choose the right one at the give situation. When Mk tornados directly above you (maybe the length of Marth's head) = just shield, don't attempt OoS upb you'll get punished. If Mk is in death range and/or you have little shield is near off the edge somewhat = oos upb if mk weaves in and out with tornado, punish with dancing blade when they finished nadoing. I'll do TL later, sleepy unless someone like PoS can answer to this. ------------------- ![]() We didn't lose </3

quote ZummaBasically what AL said. if you know what buffering means it means that in brawl you can input the controls you want and as soon as you land it'll do it asap the second you get on the ground. that's how Boss moves so quick with luigi and mario. ------------------- ![]() We didn't lose </3

re: SOS Brigade presents: "Class with CM! Lesson #2 up!" |
quote Military GI'll answer for TL. The answer is unless you're already spamming bombs, you don't. Seriously. The only answer to MK as TL is to bomb the shit out of him. Rangs and Arrows get dominated by any direction + B as MK, pick your poison, So do every single one of TL's attacks unless you get lucky and hit one of the spots in the nado, which is highly unlikely. Don't bother with throwing boomerangs. Just use your bombs. and when you don't have a bomb in your hand, if the MK's near you attack it, but every waking moment that you have should be spent with a bomb being thrown in their direction to stop the move from starting period. Once your opponent just ditches those moves, you can continue back to normal play. Once they go back to it, you know what to do. Retreating bomb pull -> B-Reversed Arrow works well here, but I just kept it simple. Don't Dair either, unless the MK is... not... efficient and just moves his nado straight up. in which, you can if you're in the center, but idk why anybody would do that. -------------------

quote CheckmateNot all the time. You just can't be TOO overconfident. Sometimes I just go super aggressive and Olimar starts throwing out all kinds of Fair WoP rape or a surprise dair that makes the opponent go OH SHEEEEET! Growing overconfident and going so aggressive on the opponent that they don't know what to do for a stock or two is usually pretty fun :3. You'll have a harder time with less intimidating chars though... a Ganon chasing after someone just makes them go "lol". A character they might not know very well might be able to pull off some flashy stuff though, my Lucas has had a good time doing that ^^ ------------------- ![]() quote zelda94

u should probably add a section aboout limiting ones options to make it ALOT easier to read or simply react to the limited option choice
alot of times ppl get good reflexes and bating a reaction mixed up with reading. good reflex would be a marth positioning himself one character space from the ledge so that all he has to do is watch hsi opponent. with good positiong marth can punish any ledge option with good reflexes. standing away from the ledge to have enough time to shield a ledge attack and shield grab on the hurtboxes, or if the simply got up standing use DB, if the ledge jump use any of marth's arieals, if they roll behind u turn around and DB, or if the like to drop from the ledge and jump up with an attack tipper fsmash them. baiting would what M2K does with metaknight for a whole stock. when ur in the air he'll perfectly position isself under u and throw out uairs to force u to airdodge and then he'll punish ur air dodge with a nair or fast fall nair. reading would be to pick up on a habbit and know exactly how ur opponent is going to move at a given senario, or something aloung those lines. ------------------- ![]() ![]()

Didn't read it all but a good Marth can't beat a good MK, it's true. I've played Korn, Forte, etc. and nothing worked, it's impossible...that's why I dropped him.
If you main Marth, pick up a secondary or never win a tourney, lol. ------------------- ![]() ~Thanks Sandstone for the Sig~ Brawl FC: 1203-8989-6280 Tag: LWOR

*seconds marth and won against a close game with mk* lol shit theres not really much of a choice in seconding someone for mk. it's relatively pointless lmao. cuz either way, ur gonna have to put 1337 haxs on that char like let's say diddy kong lawl

re: SOS Brigade presents: "Class with CM! Lesson #2 up!" |
quote AlMoStLeGeNdArYi can help with this start csticing ur arieals if u haven't, if u use the A button u lose that extra inch or two of spacing and poistioning second, marth has hurtboxes... big ones, its possible to be shield grabbed from sheild breaker fsmash DB and fair even tho u clearly spaced somewhat, marth's hurtboxes is where ur getting shield grab AL, the run along probably half the lenth of each attack marth has, and if ur not csticing ir arieals the slight momentum makes that half lenght hurtbox at 3/4 lenths hurtbox for them to grab u. in short u can't simply space with marth and be ok, u have to perfectly space or near perfectly space to be safe, slacking and not going for a tipper strike everytime u attack will make u that much less of a good marth player and ur more liable to be counter attacked with ease such as shield grabbing. quote koreanstriker93 quote koreanstriker93stop being negative, saying its impossible for marth to win is like saying its impossible for fox to beat pika which the concept being the comparison fails its not impossible, ur just not a good marth. a good marth=good meta if u are truely a good marth u only have to worry abut the top ten meta knights, othrwise all other battles are clearly winnable ------------------- ![]() ![]()
