From someone who plays DK vs. Diddy matches every time his friend comes over...

I'd say it's about even. DK is fantastic with bananas, he can get a Giant Punch, fsmash or dsmash if he hits Diddy with one out of his long glide toss. Also, if DK is quick about it, Diddy's going to have a really hard time getting to his bananas because DK can trap the bananas with his down b and smack Diddy away with his ftilt if Diddy tries to take one. If Diddy tries to shoot his peanuts at him from right outside down b range, DK's down b breaks them for no reason. Also once Diddy is off stage DK can wreck him with his bair or if he intercepts Diddy's side b or up b with a meteor. Also if Diddy tries to recover from below and I'm hanging onto the edge, he's going to have a hard time getting back because of Spinning Kong stalling.

If Diddy approaches with a banana DK can shield it and tilt him when he tries to follow up. Diddy's aerial approaches are also less useful because he can knock him out of the sky with up tilt, up angled ftilt or bair. Speaking of bair, it beats Diddy's air game. As an alternate option, DK can super armor Diddy's bananas if he has good timing. It's very effective and sets Diddy up for some large damage from up b.

Diddy can camp DK though because DK left his coconut gun at home and he could snipe the crap out of people in DK64. Diddy also has the advantage of being able to take out a banana whenever he wants and DK has no quick way of grabbing them if they arn't tossed to him. DK is also easy to combo and *insert DK lives a long time and kills early thing here*.

D3 v Rob. Discuss.

Advantage sounds D3.

DDD definitely has the advantage in that matchup. B-air beats out anything ROB throws in the air and f-tilt messes up ROB on the ground. I'm not sure if DDD can chain-grab ROB and I'm too lazy to test it, but I'm fairly certain that it doesn't matter because ROB can't get near DDD.

And, waddles > lazor and top. I'm pretty sure it's like 60-40 d3's favor.

Shouldn't the Rob be shooting lasers and gyros from across the stage?

edit: saw Menkoy's post. But waddles don't have range, so the Rob could still camp from across the screen, right?

I think Menkoy means that his waddles stop the laser and gyro. They don't stop the laser though and the ROB player could shoot the gyro over the waddle dee.

ROB best move is nair his kill move is also nair. Then we factor in move decay RoB can't camp. because of waddles dee's and do's. Bair > WOP rape ROB off stage i would think.

I guess on a stage with platforms ROB might be able to camp a little easier, but it's still hard with the waddles and D3 does a decent job of shutting ROB down.

And yeah, I guess laser does go through waddles. Wasn't really thinking lol.

I was watching a few old vids from I think November... But anyway, m2k was playing Atomsk when I heard that Falco was D3's worst matchup.

First off, what are the odds for the matchup? Must be 65-35 if Falco is the worst for him.

Second, who is his worst matchup after Falco? The only logical answer is MK, but he has a 55-45 or 60/40 matchup with D3.
