This doesn't neccesarily mean there will be a character in it, though. It's just the series that the stage is from.

Name one stage in melee that came from a character's game but the character didn't make the cut.

I never played AC so i dunno.But you may say no animal crossing character fits but, look at everyone.We have plumbers,princesses,a psychic power kid,a genetically altered cat, electric rodents,swordsmen from the past, animals from space, pink puffballs etc.So in reality, no one fits.

The only animal crossing character I see that can fight is Mr Resetti. His A attacks would be his pick axe. B would be a charge up move thet when released a sonic boom apears out of his mouth. Bv would be just like just like Yoshi. B^ would be he points his mouth down creating a sonic boom sending him flying up. B> He turns around around makes a sonic boom and he goes flying sideways just like fox.

Its GoD, not DoG. And yes, many people will be upset if both Roy and Marth are taken out and not replaced with FE characters.

Do you seriously, honestly believe that you can gauge the probability of what Sakurai thinks?

Short term, yes, you could. Soldiers with mild tactical ability do it all the time.

But they do that to oppenents in a situation where the enemy can do a very limited number of things.

Sakurai's limits are almost non-existant. You can tell me the odds of sonic getting in are 20/60, but in reality it's more like one to a number of thousands, possibly millions. He will do what he does. Don't try to gauge it.

This is very interesting. I'm not suire if an animal crossing character would be good for brawl but it has 2 things going for it. Firstly is the fact that there has never been a stage that hasn't had a playable character from it's sieries representing it, exept for Final Destination and Battlefeild. And secondly there is a separate icon for it on the site, unlike say Dr Wright who although is from a separate game his update just had the samsh icon at the top

I say the Resetti Moles, or TN's kids would be in there for AC. It would work, and they'd be like Nana & Popo...which is good enough. Roy and Marth should be back, because Roy had Fire attacks, and Marth didn't so I don't see how that's a clone. Hector would be a very nice addition to Brawl though, or someone wielding double axes. [Final Fantasy XI thing]

Roy attacks are identiacl to marths exept fro the fire, that makes him a clone. If having the fire there changed it so that his moves were different from Marths in ways other than appearance and power, speed ect then he wouldn't be a clone. I'm not sure about having roy return, maybe but we are starting to have a few too many characters with swords. We have Link who uses sword and sheild, Marth/Roy/Metaknight who use just a single sword and Pit who uses 2 swords. if they do add another character with a sword I would ike to see a character with a big 2 handed broadsword, maybe ganondorf

It's not a matter of fitting, it's a matter of just how it would work. And since we already basically see everybody in the background of the stage, none of those people will probably be playable. I'm guessing it's just that they had a great series that many people like, and they didn't know how to incorporate it with it working. Oh wait! A stage! Maybe there'll be an item from AC too, or maybe have Resetti as an AT.

They had no need to make the symbol for a stage and maybe an item.

You twisted that into a way where the original statment seemed to lose it's purpose, whereas in truth, it is your statement that made no bloody sense.

Weldar wasn't talking about the fact that some characters don't have stages. He was talking about the fact that all stages had a corresponding character (except for those stages that do not belong to the universe of any character, but intead belong to Master and Crazy Hand).

This fact stands, despite your twisting of the words.


Combining the symbol and fact that every stage has a character, it seems very likely that there WILL be an Animal Crossing Character.

As for who it is, Sakurai could surprise us and say it's name is 'You', and be a human character. It could be Tom Nook's nephews. Could be Resetti. We don't know.

Maybe if they do that again? Replace the Triforce with the leaf for the AC stage. I don't think they had the stage symbols in Melee, but they did in 64. Maybe they're bringing that back.

I'm just saying that seeing as we've basically seen everyone from AC in the background of that stage, the playable would have to be someone who wasn't there. Resetti? Maybe, but I wouldn't instantly think there'll be a character. I'm just trying to make sense of things.
