I get that problem as well. I can connect to their servers fine and get into any game, and i can ivite the majority of my friends. But there are a few that when i invite them it says the session is no longer available when it clearly is. Weird.

I've played a few times with absolutely no errors.

Well, my mate today went to his dad's house who has a new modem and it worked fine.

When I try to go online, I can never get in a game. I either get sent to an empty lobby, where nobody enters, or manage to get in a game, but get kicked out straight away (says I lost connection to one or more players). I did get in a game once, but with only a couple of other people.

Note: It is nothing to do with my connection, all other games work online perfectly.

Anyone know what the problem could be?

Lit3, in response to your last post in the thread you created...

I believe you can check your version by looking at the game's install on the HDD. From the PS main menu go to the Game Data folder and find the GTA IV install file. Press triangle and select Information. I think there should be a version number...should be 1.01 with patch.

Okay, I just checked the version of it and it is up to date. (1.01)

So can't be anything to do with it being out of date.

Did anyone else get there online rank reset today? I was 4 yesterday and now I'm 0

i have exact same problem as Lit3, cod4 works a dream, my connection is not sucky, dunno whats goin on, it seems other ppl dont face problems after patchwas released but i still suffer the lost connection message, usually happens if more than 3 ppl r in a game.

I've gotten the 'lost connection due to one or more players' and I've even seen some guy with the most LAGGIEST connection ever, and I'm fairly sure that if you get that, it may be due to someone ELSES connection. I was once playing online with someone who was lagging so much that whenever I shot him, he suddenly disappeared and appeared three steps in front though with plenty of other players that were fine, I just focused on the others, though soon enough I got that message and was kicked from Multiplayer. Only happened to me twice as far as I recall, but I'm sure it was someone else's connection both times, since I've played almost perfectly on other occasions.

I'd also suggest you guys try a Wired connection and see if that makes things better (I'm using Wireless mind you).

i was a rank 3...but after i joined the rockstar social club i looked at the multiplayer network scores on the pause menu of the game and i had 2 versions of myself!!?!? one at rank 1 and the other at rank 3 as before. wierd!

i then went to play a deathmatch and it used my rank 1 version(all clothes were still there mind you). the next time i played online it was rank 3.... it switched like that for a couple of days the it stayed at rank 3....thank god!

i get the disconnected message about 6 or 7 times before i get in.
