Micrsoft might as well buy them since it's apparent their DLC's are better. That and the fact, R* seems to work with MS over giving us anything at all. Makes me question whether Agent is nothing more but a hand me down kids toy...

I'm hoping Agent is something for Sony Fans to gloat about. Stuff the DLC this game is ours and you can't have it. That sort of attitude.

That could be true, too, but then why start with content that at least feels like it is going backward in many ways to so many people? It's almost as if Rockstar was attempting to recapture the magic of GTA III by stripping features out of the new game so they could, what? Add them back in, doling them out a little at a time to make it seem like they are "progressing" the new engine?

While I agree with MM that those DLC were going to have them, it's still not entirely backwards. It still has the GTA4 physics albeit tweaked ones where it's just a combo.
Maybe it's more to do with MS giving them money and asking them to make a certain type of GTA for them. Or maybe R* planned it out that way from the beginning and just left it as exclusive. Idk, but regardless of how it looks i'm pretty sure it still feels like GTA4. My whole problem is R* rather makes us a brand new IP and no DLC free or paid at all for the PS3 versions. It's they they said "*bleep* you PS3 owners. We'll give you a new ip but not going to give you shit". Hell, ANY dlc even new weapons or something is better than nothing. ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

Exclusive contracts run out after two years so unless MS want to pay again R* can sell it on PS3 by 2011.

The only problem with that is the fact that who is going to care about episodes of GTA IV on the PS3 three years after the original game released?

quote Motorway ManiacWho cares about that the episodes. I'm talking about DLC in general. Rockstar *bleep*ed over the PS3 owners. PERIOD. They didn't give us ANYTHING at all, and only did shit for Microsoft. That's unfair, and perhaps MS should buy out Take Two and keep GTA exclusive since it's apparent R* does not give a shit about it's GTA PS3 fanbase. ------------------- Welcome to Crisis Core forum Welcome to Bad Company 2 God of War 3 official forum community

What kind of fanbase would there of been? Sorry but the 360 was more like the PS2 at the time and thats the fanbase they want to impress. Had the PS3 had more of a PS2 reception than its rival maybe then the PS3 would of had in on exclusivity. Still we get Agent exclusive so in many ways I think they've screwed 360 owners more than PS3 owners.

Yea they give us a game 360 don't really give a shit about. GTA is an established franchise. Agent is some unknown franchise hyped up by Take Two to be a game as big as GTA3 was. So how did they manage to screw 360 owners exactly?

quote ChiroVetteMy mate said a near identical thing last night when we were talking about BOGT and future GTA games. If the return of old favourites to BoGT is a sign of things to come, then Saints Row can only hope that R* mess up on everything else, because it will, in my opinion, reclaim so many more fans. It's an advert for a film coming out in Libert City that is at the back of the guide book from 'Episodes from Liberty City', but it's the kind of subtle hint that R* would put in somewhere to advertise the next game. Also, it says 'Opens March Everywhere', and R* have been quoted in the past as saying that they already knew the future of Grand Theft Auto and that a game could be released around 2010/2011 time This message was edited by DaveyPoshboy on Oct 30 2009. ------------------- "I was God once." Well I just woke up, but I don't get the reference in that ad or what you mean Rockstar already knowing the future of GTA.
Oh, and I believe there will always be a market for SR even if Rockstar goes back to the old school GTA, but that GTA would still be the dominant game of the genre. In addition, even though Rockstar is adding in all the wild and insane gameplay, I am still worried that they are going to keep the physics steeped in realism, which would not be great for GTA in my eyes, but I believe would help the Saint's Row franchise as well as it would give Volition a completely independent nitch. ------------------- ![]() It's official. re: You think Rockstar may be going back to the original GTA style with GTA V? |
quote ChiroVetteBasically, when IV was released, or before that even, the producers and the writers for Grand Theft already knew what was going to happen in the future installments of Grand Theft Auto, so by them already knowing the future, I mean how they have already said they knew what direction the game was heading into and the plot line for the next game, which is why they said they could see a release in 2010/11, and this advert (which includes the actual cover for the game, therefore linking it with the game and potentially the next one) suggests that the game will be out next march (At the bottom it says Opens March Everywhere). So although it could be seen as a 'film entered into the Libert City Film Festival [top right]), it could also be a trademark subtle hint that R* have deliberately put into the guide book for people to notice and start talking about. ------------------- "I was God once."
