Well Saints Row had alcohol to buy and it had an effect on you and the screen. I admit it was basic and didn't really help you, but it's a start. It would be great if GTA4 improved on this.

I don't know if I would consider this an improvement. To me it seems like more of a gimmick than anything else, and I just don't see how it, in any way, enhances the gameplay at all.

Yeah when I said improve, I meant improve on the gimmick rather than it actually improving the game itself. But if it doesn't take away from the game, I don't mind how many optional gimmicks they add. In SR I didn't really bother using the drugs or booze much, but it didn't interfere either because it was just an option.

Actually, it could be possible. Maybe if there is another countryside, you do a mission from an old psycho farmer.. you get on his horse, perform a drive-by to another farm...

No, no animals. They said they won't.

If they start adding dogs and cats, they might as well add children for the hell of it. But if they do, I probably won't get the game. Rockstar isn't stupid enough to do it. And if they are...like I said... won't get the game.

They already have problems with being able to steal cars, kill people, run from the police, kill the police, uses of various weapons, theft, drugs, prostitutes etc. Common animals will be the last straw, because not only Jack Thompson - but PETA will jump on their balls. Thus, perhaps the final downfall of Rockstar. And I don't know about you, but I'd like to see them continue to release games.

I highly doubt that they will get shut down just for adding animals as part of the background or even ability to kill them for that matter. Its not like it has never been down before.

They've already added animals to Bully.. I don't see why it makes them stupid. There wil be no cases of cruelty to animals if you don't have to harm the animals, but can. Then it's up to us as the gamers to decide what to do with the litle critters
