I really don't see how anything more than pigeons, seagulls and possibly the odd cat and dog would work in a city like LC. I would've been all for animals had it been somewhere like SA, but...

I think adding animals for just the sake of having something else to kill it pointless and... Quite horrible.

It would be nice to see horses as an alternative way of transport, that might actually add something to the gameplay.

the idea of having animals in this game isn't all that bad for the sake of realism but there's no doubt they're gonna become a victim sooner or later.. haha. it may be fun (for the sick minded?) to have 'em in GTA 4 but it would be a bit harsh, you know, a shell or two in a wild cat's head. I guess it's not that different from a human dying but still I wouldn't really want them in.

It would be a good idea, but it would end up being taken too far, and animal rights activists would whine (as usual) about how it's possible to kill animals.

I reckon rockstar should introduce some form of wildlife into the next installment. I dont think they should go overboard, say by having cockroaches on the sidewalks... but maybe having deer, wild cats, and maybe bears in the forests. In GTA:SA, there were sea creatures, but you couldnt interact with them. I tried many times to blow that friggin dolphin outta the water, but failed everytime.

Adding interactive wildlife would open up alot of doors for the game. Police dogs could be introduced, sniffer dogs could be used in various missions that may involve drug smuggling...as well as those vicious attack dogs that could chase you down the street when you have a wanted level.

Seeing eye dogs for blind peds would be interesting...so much fun, however cruel it may be, that you could have.

Cattle farms on the outskirts of town could also create problems for traffic if someone left the gate open...

1) Police Dogs, appear at 2nd wanted level, that would b soooooo goooood. Make a helluva chase aswell, and you don't necessarily HAVE to kill em, but i most likely will

2) Horses, Drive-bys on a Horse is a MUST

3) Pet dog, you could get it to attack people, guard property, maybe sniff out drugs on over dealers etc.

4) Deers to hunt

5) Birds to shoot, for target practice of course

6) Sharks that eat you if you stray to far into the water, maybe fight back with a knife?

7) Bears in the forests, wolves in the mountains? That would be insane, lets say for a mission you need to kidnap someone from a hidden away house in the woods and on the way you get savaged by a Bear, brilliant

Sorry to spoil the fun Guys but ive just read a comment that says "dont include all animals but maybe some Cattle in a ranch would be fine"

I mean come on pal this isnt the Waltons its GTA.... is a ranch not going to look pathetic in the middle of times square.... OMG how stupid are some people

I would imagine animal rights activists would jump all over that.
