Hey.
This game needs to go on. SPOILERS here. The ending of this game was so sad as in, really sad, emotionally. Guys, we need to get Heavenly Sword 2 working. I urge each and everyone of you to start doing something. I am not going to let this title down on bit. I am so going to start a group to get HS2 in the works becuase as we all know, Sony are thinking of Cancelling HS2. My Mission is, to get this game working and to do this I need your help. You all know that this game needs to live on and I know everyone of you is thinking. "He's right, we need to do something about this. Heavenly Sword is not just a game, its a game that really deserves to live on. We need to act NOW! to get Sony to do a Heavenly Sword 2. Please, anyone who agrees and I am sure you all do. I see everyone talking about how much HS needs to be a movie. Lets do it, lets grab attention of the entire globe to get SONY to do another HS. Or Squeal and MOVIE perhaps. | |

I heard there is going to be a sequel but Nariko wont be the lead character. This info came from the publishers of the gamecentral forum on ITV.

There will be no sequel for this game. The developers are already working on a new project. I assume they didn't want to continue this game because of how well it did. Maybe they expected it to do better.

Its not going to happen. This game will not have a sequel. Your attempts will be useless trust me.

You don't really get it, do you? Sony own the rights to Heavenly Sword. Sony themselves can make a new one.

Again, you fail to understand THEY'RE NOT MAKING A SEQUEL. Its been stated over and over by the team, that the game ended nicely, and they're moving on to better titles. As Subzer0 stated, probably due to the fact it didn't sell to the expectancy they had for it.
Ultimately, it won't happen, regardless of Sony owning the rights to the game. The devs still has to want to make it, and they don't. They're moving on. The only thing them owning the IP ensures is no other console getting the game. Thats it, its like Halo with Bungie, the only difference is, Bungie is still willing to make Halo titles and MS is continuing to want it. Its been stated on gamegrep that there is no sequel nor does the team or Sony have any plans on making more. While it would be nice if they did, since I'd love to know more about Kai(I think)its not happening.
