Alright guys, this has got to stop. The off topic gesture is fine but not when it continues. Dave and Platy, you two seem to the main culprits and if you don't cut it out after this GD has been made then I will start to get serious and put you both on PPD (posts per day) restrictions

I understand there is only so much Morrowind you can talk about but after what I just witnessed of the topic going from bloodbath in balmora to something about thanksgiving turkey and meals in Morrowind...it is getting out of hand.

Starting from now, This GD will serve for offtopic posts, once it hits 30 pages, it will be closed and scheduled for deletion, which then another will be made to keep the process going.

As a forum, we aim to keep the majority of threads ontopic so members can find the answers they are looking for easily and quickly. We are here to have fun and communicate but at least use some common sense. Instead of going way offtopic in a thread, PM me about making a GD or some form of entertainment thread, I will then approve or refuse it depending on what it will contain. Then I will decide whether to make it myself or allow someone else to make it if they wish to have that responsibility.

However this doesn't mean everything has to be strictly ontopic. You can (yes even I do this) go offtopic but as long as you always bring the topic back to what was originally posted then no one can complain.

For example:

Did anyone see "that movie" lastnight, it was amazing!

By the way you "do this" to complete "that quest"

reason: The above offtopic will start a conversation that could outlast the original topic and is more meant for general discussions.

Right:

Hey "insert name", PM me your email address

Has anyone noticed you can hit faster with "this sword" than "that sword" in Morrowind

reason: Offtopic can still have a morrowind subject and will more likely not be noticed. Only reason I noticed the subject change in Bloodbath in Balmora was because of all the offtopic before that and then "thanksgiving turkey"

The other example is fine mainly because you are not continuing the discussion in the forum but taking it to PM's.

I don't want to get strict but it's gone past funny now.

Anyhoo...use this thread for offtopic madness, well as long as it stays within the rules of course

Yes we know Platy, you're constantly sticking the wind-up handle into Dave and watching him run, not that I'm complaining mind you - The pair of you can be quite entertaining sometimes.

And yes, my currant favourite weapon is also Skull Crusher, the feather effect is the main reason, then, the two hit kill capability on nearly all enemies (sometimes only one).
And no I don't consider rats, those bloody bird things and fish as enemies they're just a nuisance now that they've served their porpoise.

off topic means you don't have to talk about morrowind, hence why offtopic general discussions are the only place allowed for such things.

Also I am not here to ruin fun, I have only become strict with Dave and Platy because their idea of fun doesn't help the reputation of Neoseeker or this forum for that matter.

A laugh and a giggle is welcomed, in fact you will find I am 80% sarcastic and pretty much lenient, however I also know when to stop my antics and being a moderator, I also have to keep an image to uphold.

In fact it wasn't the fact you two continue to dig at each other, it was the fact you constantly derailed the topic to something offtopic which made others follow and rendered that thread useless for not just the original poster but also others that may need help on the same topic.

As to topics here, anything goes as long as it is within Neoseeker rules...that means you can talk about politics...just consider other's feelings and beliefs and that if someone doesn't agree with you, don't chew their head off.
