	You can equip another item and use the boots. I believe it was either the Savior's Hide Cuirass or the Lord's Mail. I think it was the cuirass.

	yeah, the opposite of blind is night eye... so just make a constant effect night eye amulet or something... or turn the blackness ratio on your tv to 0. ------------------- "why didnt anyone tell me that life was so goddamn confusing?"

	This link here http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/morrowind_freeform.txt explains at the end how to get the armour at Tel Fyr that protects you from magic, so allowing you to use the boots. It is not easy, you must be able to open 100 lock, and leap very high. If you follow the quick start guide in FAQ section you will have these abilities.
