SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN
If i train all of my armour skills back to 100, will the constant affect be there? Or how does it work?
Will i ever be able to get it back to 100?

re: SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

As far as I know, the effects of the Sword of Fury are permanent in the X-Box version.. You cannot level, drink potions, use any type of spell, etc. to recover from using the Sword of Fury. I recommend loading from a previous save. I understand in the PC version there is a patch to fix that prob but nothing for the X-Box.

re: SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

i have no sympathy for anyone stupid enough to wield the sword of fury. I found it recently and its stats are horrible! constant effect - everything practically, of course i had to try it AFTER i saved right before but y would u wield it besides curiosity of what the bug is?

re: SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

First of all, DON'T EQUIP THE SWORD OF FURY!!!
It is at Kogoruhn in the Hall of
Maki on the body behind a locked door. These effects are constant and permanent so the longer you leave it equipped your stats will lower to 0.
Blind 20% on self
Damage Heavy Armor 20 points on self
Damage Medium Armor 20 points on self
Damage Light Armor 20 points on self
Damage Unarmored 20 points on self
Fortify Fortify Attack 20 points on self
Chop 1-27
Slash 1-23
Thrust 1-16

I wouldn't doubt that there is a way to cancel out the damaging effects and just fortify attack! Sounds like a challenge to me! Make sure you save before tinkering with the sword though! Just a thought...with the reward from the Sanguine quest you can fortify skills now right? Maybe you could enchant item/items to offset the damaging spells except for blind. Any suggestions?

re: SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

I have a confession to make...I go to other boards
Anyways this other board has figured out tons of glitches and stuff, like how to make the Reverse-Fury Sword and the Gauntlet of Righteous Recomposure. Credit goes to SR71.

The Reverse-Fury Sword and Gauntlet of Righteous Re-Composure

Reverse-Fury Sword (Nordic Claymore)
Constant Effect
Bound Cuirass
Range: Self

Gauntlet of Righteous Re-Composure (Chitin Gauntlet)
Cast When Used
Drain Unarmored
Range: Self
Magnitude: 20 to 20
Duration: 1
+
Drain Light Armor
Range: Self
Magnitude: 20 to 20
Duration: 1
+
Drain Medium Armor
Range: Self
Magnitude: 20 to 20
Duration: 1
+
Drain Heavy Armor
Range: Self
Magnitude: 20 to 20
Duration: 1

This sword and gauntlet can be successfully used to restore all armor skills, after making the mistake of equipping the Fury Sword, and then saving without realizing. If all the advantages of these enchantments are used, then all of your armor skills will be restored to their exact original stats. And, using the duplication abilities of the constant effect bound cuirass enchantment, the cost for everything will be more than free. Since the Mephala's Skill spell doesn't contain the Fortify Skill effect in the PAL version, and the spell is fairly difficult to obtain for those with the NTSC version, this use of Constant Effect enchantments is a real life-saver.

To Create the Reverse Fury Sword you will need:
A Grand Soulgem (or Azura's star) with the trapped soul of a Golden Saint or Ascended Sleeper. (If you have other full soulgems, make sure to have them in your inventory, as well.)
A Nordic Claymore
The Bound Cuirass spell.
Around 6,000 + in gold (which you will get back).

To save money on any enchantment:
You should make sure that your Fatigue Bar is full. And, if you are performing a very expensive enchantment, be sure to Bribe (or, if you can, Admire) the Enchanters disposition up to 100.

Enchanting the Sword:
Save your game.
Talk to an enchanter and select "Barter", then exit "Barter" and select "Enchanting".Select the "Soul" box and select the Soulgem containing the Golden Saint or Ascended Sleeper.Select the "Item" box and select the Nordic Claymore.Select the box that says "Cast When Used" or "Cast When Strikes" and click the "A" button to set it to read "Constant Effect".Under "Magic Effects", select Bound Cuirass and set it by pressing the "X" button (It should read " Range: Self").Go to the "Name" box and name the enchanted item, then select "Done".Now, if you have another less powerful soulgem in your inventory containing a soul with a charge at least equal to the number listed as the "Cast Cost" of this enchantment, then put it in the place of the Grand Soulgem (after doing this, the box indicating Cast Type should still read "Constant Effect"). This way you can re-use the Golden Saint Grand Soulgem's Constant Effect ability again and again.Push the X button and finish the enchantment. Now, since you entered the Barter menu first, before entering the Enchant menu, You may now Barter applicable items with the Enchanter to regain the money spent on the enchantment, since he will now have the 6000+ gold available to buy with. He will only have the 6000+ for 24 game hours, so don't rest before selling all your items. The Reverse Fury sword can now be used to duplicate any valuable cuirass that you own to barter back all of your money.

To enchant the Gauntlet of Righteous Re-Composure, pretty much the same procedure is used. Except, "Cast When Used" is selected instead of "Constant Effect" and a Golden Saint Grand Soulgem is not required. Follow the formula listed for the Gauntlet of Righteous Re-Composure to create the enchantment. A similar spell can be used instead of the gauntlet, if you are a fairly good magicka user.
The Cuirass Duplication Trick:
Make sure that the cuirass to be duplicated has full condition points first, or the trick will not work.Equip the cuirass to be duplicated, next equip the Reverse Fury Sword, and then exit the menu screen. Next, re-enter the inventory menu, and un-equip the Reverse Fury Sword, and then re-equip the Reverse Fury Sword, and exit the menu screen.Again, re-enter the inventory menu and un-equip the Reverse Fury Sword, and then re-equip the Reverse Fury Sword, and exit the menu screen. Now, re-enter the inventory menu, and at this point there should be 2 cuirasses in the inventory menu, instead of only 1.Continuing to un-equip, and re-equip, and exit, as described before, will continue to duplicate the armor piece again, and again.

Restoring your stats:
Remove all other weapons from your inventory, except for Reverse Fury Sword and one other weapon (2 weapons total).Enter your inventory menu and equip the Reverse Fury Sword. Now, press the B button to exit menu and then quickly press and hold down L + R + X buttons at the same time. The name of the Reverse Fury Sword should appear at the bottom left of your screen. If it does not, release the "L" button and then press it again until it does. You will hear the sound of the weapon being equipped over and over. All 4 of your armor stats will go up 5 points permanently, every time you hear the sword equip sound. Use this trick until all your armor stats are white. There will be many Bound Cuirasses in your inventory, which can be dropped (amazingly enough). Now equip the Gauntlet of Righteous Re-Composure and cast the spell until all your armor stats are yellow again.

Spell Locations:

Bound Cuirass
Ft. Moonmoth, Prison Towers (door by Larrius Varro), Solea NuccusiusSadrith Mora, Dirty Muriel's Cornerclub, Upstairs, Erer Darothril Sadrith Mora, Telvanni Council House, Entry (lower level)Nelso Salenim

Scourge Blade (Drain Skill)

re: SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

We do occasionally get PC only related questions because when a net search engine is used this forum's link is given. We do the best to help or refer. This tip is for the X-Box version.

As far as the duplicaiton trick...you can even dup arrows but I really don't know if it will work on every single item but I would guess so since they are probably programmed in the same way.

re: SWORD OF FURY... AGAIN. LAST TIME (i think)

Hmmm, good question but I seen a post in which arrows could be duplicated. I'll look for it.

...

Okay this was a post by JChenNY13 and I'm going to add a link in the FLD as Duplicating arrows as well.

Duplicating Arrows
---------------------

This requires, Tons of guards to use as shooting targets, and at least 2 types of arrows.1-Buy 50 iron arrows, and take those 8 daedric arrows you should have if you found the daedric long bow in that shrine.2-Equip your daedric arrows. Draw back the bow string, go into your menu, and then equip your iron or corkbulb arrows† if your really cheap.3-Exit the menu. Now, you should notice you still have the daedric arrow drawn back, but in the menu, you have the lesser value arrow equipped. Keep the bow drawn, and fire at a guard. 4-Now repeat this trick, by equipping and replacing with cheaper arrows, several times, until the guard is dead. You will have lost no daedric arrows, but you will have lost the other kind. 5-Now, go up to the guard's body, and check. Some of the arrows will be in his body, but they are DAEDRIC arrows. You have 8 in your inventory, now pick those up. more than 8. The game subtracts the lesser value arrow, but still fires the first arrow you had equipped. Neat, huh? You can use this trick with magic arrows, but you just won't lose any. You can have infinite of them this way, but you cannot increase your count. Hope this helps.

†Corkbulb arrows can be bought in the saint delyn canton from a trader in the plaza. He also sells bolts, and they are the weakest in the game. Kinda funny though, they are all curved and look like crap.
