re: WHAT CAN VAMPIRES DO

That would be great. Zurn never had a chance to feed because he screwed up the quests or killed too many vamps before he became one so he had to just get the Spellbreaker and Elton Brand and cure himself...but he didn't mind because being a Vamp just totally reeked!

So I just had a dream. Tall person or something. Golden face, and no breath. Am I becoming a vampire? How can I stop it if the transformation hasn't taken place yet?

Wow, can you lower his immunity temporarily? I never thought about that but that must be way you can't get infected. However, it took Zurn a loooong time to get infected, too. He took about 400 health damage before he became infected and that took forever!

re: WHAT CAN VAMPIRES DO

You will know you have contracted the disease when you see a box at the top of your screen saying you have gotten "Porphilric Hemophilia". You are a vamp when you are awakened from your sleep by this disturbing dream:

"I dreamt of a blond maiden. I drew near and saw she was crying but her tears were as red as blood. I touched her tears and tasted them, and they were wonderfully salty, sharp with spice and savor, but the maiden's face had changed, her skin grey-white, and red tears dripped from her lips, and her hair had turned black, and wreathed her head like twining snakes. I was afraid, but I could not run. I screamed, and then I woke, heart pounding, cramped and aching."

Should you contract the disease and not want to be a vamp, you can take a Cure Common Disease Potion or use a Spell for up to three days after infection.

re: WHAT CAN VAMPIRES DO

Oh well I tried to become a Vamp last night in that Cave SW of Ald'Ruhn, but my Dark Elf wouldn't contract it, tried for an hour. I only had two Vamps hitting me though, since I'm not too tough yet, so I didn't want to take on the whole cave, maybe I needed to do that. Or maybe Elves in general are more immune to stuff, although it doesn't say anything in the manual about Dark Elves having extra immunity against anything, except for fire.

Funny the one Vamp, first he started with his magic spells, then he ran out, so he started hitting me with his dagger, that finally wrecked, so it wound up becoming a boxing match. Quite the boxing simulator Morrowind is. I haven't played the game for awhile so it was pretty cool. I actually felt pretty tough with my restore health potions and being able to wittle down his dagger.

I finally said screw it because I wanted to race another track in MGP2. One of the vampires hitting me I think was a Dark Elf, Dunmer too, so I should be able to turn into one.

Another thing that made me laugh was, I felt sorry for the Vampire boxing with me so I dropped a sword, and he didn't even pick it up, pretty funny, but the game should have that, if you drop a weapon the guy you're fighting picks it up and uses it.

I'll probably try again tonight, maybe have more courage and take on more of the cave than just two vampires.

Anyway I wasn't able to turn into a Vampire yet, I'm only trying that one place near Ald Ruhn since I'm too lazy and fairly too weak to walk around the map.

re: WHAT CAN VAMPIRES DO

I believe that the leaders of each clan are best at giving the disease, too. So, you might want to try one of the clan HQ's.

potion to contract vampirism?

I actually have 2 questions...
1. I noticed that the vampire ash has vampirism in the 4th slot (alchemy reading). Can you make a potion to contract vampirism? If so...what is the combination?

2. Can you still become a vampire if you resists all diseases naturally (Main Quest: you contract corpus disease and Tel Fyr dude cures you but with the unavoidable side effects: Resists Common disease etc.)

re: WHAT CAN VAMPIRES DO

1. No. The vampire dust is the only ingredient with the vampirism effect. Unless you found some CURSED vampire dust somewhere... Then it would count as a different ingredient. I've never seen any though.

2. Try using "weakness to common disease" spells/potions. That should lower your resistance to becoming infected.

re: WHAT CAN VAMPIRES DO

1) nope, same reason DG gave also no cursed vampire dust trust me, I've trekked every lil' piece of ground for some and never found any

2)make a weakness to common disease 100pts for <however long you can make it> spell, cast it and you'll have a 0% chance of catching vamprisim, however if you soultrap the spell, Check FLD for soultrap glitch, morrowind spell locations for the spells

make the spell:
weakness to common disease 100pts on self(no time limit)
soultrap for 2 secs on target

cast it about 4 or 5 times and you'll now have about 400 or 500% chance of catching vamprisim
