I want to know what everyone's purpose is in playing Morrowind. Is your purpose to beat the main quest? Or maybe you just want to be a healer? What is your purpose? And for those of you who have done everything there is to do, do you still have a purpose? If not do you still play morrowind? If so then why?

To become a god! And I've pretty much done that already...well almost! Once I master enchanting Phantom will be a god!

to do anythin and everythin...check
to kill everyone including Vivec...check
to collect every weapon, armour and item...check
to obtain every spell...check
to become a god...check
to use every cheat available...check
to get the highest possible attributes with alchemy trick...check
to help anyone who gets stuck etc....processing

to have fun and always discover something new in the game, you can do anything in the game, there are endless possibilities and the fun never stops, and you can help other people who do not know how to do something...... if you get to the posts before smarter people do

Ok, I have this problem where I'll create a character, play for about ten hours with that character, then think that I can create a better looking character or one that suits what I want to be better. Well I think that I finally have made a dark elf that I like. My goal or purpose with him is to become the Nerevarine... find my blade trueflame... kill Dagoth Ur, Vivec, Almelexia, and Sotha Sil for their betrayal. Well Dagoth Ur didn't really betray Nerevar way back at the battle of Red Mountain, but I want to kill him because he wants to kill everyone else. That is my main purpose in this game. I also want to collect all of the artifacts in the book Tamrielic artifacts. And various other things.

hehe i have the same problem actually!

the first time i played through was okay i nearly finished the game, then i just kept makin up more and more characters, youll get over it and eventually decide to just finish the game!

Well I did finish the game about a year ago(main quest and various other things), I bought it when it first came out for xbox. I used a wood elf. Now I am a dark elf and I really like him so I think that i'm going to keep him. Now I have GOTY edition and want to seek my revenge on Almelexia and Sotha Sil.

Well... yeah... but you don't find that out until THE VERY end, so don't give away the endin... wait... I think I just did... nevermind...

Wait a second... you are actually supposed to kill Almelexia and Sotha Sil? SWWWWEEEEEEEETTTTTTT!!!!!!
I've been wanting to do that since I first beat Morrowind over a year ago!!! And now it's actually something that I'm supposed to do!?! Kick Ass!!

you do get to kill Almalexia, but not Sotha Sil, you will find out why as you play the Tribunal main quest
and i got GotY yesterday (finally!) so i made a new char and named him Zeratul (to honor my SC days, heh) and now im just trying to beat the game with him.

So you can't kill Sotha Sil, eh? Well we'll see about that. Anyway's, I am curious about something. I was reading previous threads and was wondering, is Almelexia Nerevar's Queen, or his wife?

Almalexia was his wife if i am not mistaken

Really, Almelexia was Nerevar's wife? I was under the impression that she was his queen. I could have sworn that I read that she was his queen somewhere. Can't remember right now.

Ok, I just found out last night that she was his wife.
