hello,

i heard that you can get a stronghold..
i know i have to join 1 of the great houses,..
now, can some one tell me where the houses are..

welll it depends on which one you wanna join,

House Hlaalu is in Balmora at the top of the hill to the left of the temple, and behind the manor(the house in the middle) then ask around to "Join Great House Hlaalu

House Redoran is in Ald-Ruhn under skar(the big crab shell) when you first enter it should be completly on the other side, then ask around to "Join Great House Redoran"

House Televanni is in Sadrith Mora, far end to the left of Wolverine Hall, then ask around to "Join Great House Televanni"
and remember you can only join one "great house" and the most common "house" that people pick is Hlaalu(just to give you an opinion)

i joined the house of hlaalu in balmora but how can i build a stronghold?

You have to do all the quests that are assigned to you by the hlaalu people and then once you've done enough you will have a stronghold built for you. You have a fair amount of quests to do, you don't just join and immediately gain a stronghold.

when you are around rank 7 - 9 you will be asked to build a stronghold as a requirement for the next advancement to the next rank, you will then be directed to the constructor of the strongholds who will then give you a quest to gather some things before building the stronghold

after that, sleep till your journal is updated and head back to the person, they will give you another quest, complete that quest and sleep till you get another journal update, now go back and you will either be given another quest or told that it is completed, do the same as before and you will have a stage 3 strongholf in your name

strongholds are pretty cool but they will become boring after a while

in your stats list at the bottem where it says factions and go to your house and it should say

my house?
and what if i do this.. player-> setfactions 50000
would i get it that way too?

best place to get the low down on the console commands, there is one which raises your rank within a faction which will help you gain your stronghold faster

also your "house" is the great house you belong too, Redoran, Hlaalu or Telvanni

so.. i have my own room in there?

if you mean in the stronghold, of course you do. you also have a big storage and a dining room.

oh and i have directions to a relly cool meditating triangle outside of my strobghold, i took the 3 glowing keys from the bloodmoon quest (GOTY version) and set them down in a triangle big enough so it looks like you can sit in it (i looked up when i droped the glowing keys cuz if i put my aimer where i wanted to drop it it would float above the ground so that gave me an idea), then i put my pointer on the middle of the glowing keys then laid down ash statues so it looked like they were levitating above the glowing keys. then i took the house dagoth cup and made it flost then filled it w/ 3 ash salt stacked on top of eachother, then i put red lighting aroung it. and there you have it, your personal meditating triangle (you meditate in the middle)
